Your problem is either the memory or the Graphics Card. The DV6000 series was one that had tons of problems with the Nvidia Graphics Card. Oh, since you switched motherboards, did you put the cpu in from the old motherboard and did you apply a fresh coat of Thermal Paste between the Heat Sink and CPU?

Will not bootinto bios

If you have reset the CMOS memory you need to go into the BIOS setup screen and reconfigure the BIOS. To do that you need to press a key while the computer is booting. Usually F2 but can be other keys. It should tell you on the bottom of the first screen which key to press to enter BIOS setup.
hope this helps youi

It sounds like maybe the hard drive is not in the boot order in the BIOS. You can get into the BIOS by hitting F2, F10, or DELETE during POST (it should say which key to hit to enter setup.) Once in the BIOS (looks like an old DOS menu system) you'll want to look for the boot device priority (you may have to look for a while before you find it.) Once you do, just make sure the hard drive is the second item in the list after hte optical drive and try again

Broke system while attempting to overclock with AMD Overdrive

Found this on Biostar's support page:

http://www.biostar-usa.com/knowledgespec.asp?faqid=99977

They recommend unplugging the power cord for 5 seconds. After plugging back in, press and hold the "INSERT" key when booting to reset the CMOS back to factory defaults.

Since you were never able to actually boot with the overclocking, it's doubtful that any damage has been done especially since the MB shut itself down as a precaution.

Best of luck!

Problem at boot

There is a mechanical switch connector available to determine if someone has opened the chassis.

You can bypass this through the BIOS by entering the BIOS on bootup (DEL? message at bootup? F1?) then look for the system chassis intruder alarm and DISABLE

Another option is to find the pins that the switch is supposed to be connected to (documentation on the ASUS P4B motherboard) and jumper them.

Problem regarding usb booting

the hard drive registered in the standard cmos utility is the only one that could be registered for boot in advanced cmos setup and no other, if your usb hard drive and pen drive could be registered in the advanced cmos setup - where boot options are registered, surely it will boot your pc.

depending on the BIOS type, there must be a method to disable IDE-0 from booting. If no method found, try booting from floppy disc and then run setup.exe from CD. Try to find this in the BIOS settings, then enable it again after you have fixed the Windows.

CPU Upgrade

Athlon XP 3000+ is 400mhz FSB according to the link(http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_1274_3734^11672,00.html), means that in order to display the actual speed of your Athlon XP 3000+ you have to set your board 166mhz to 200mhz jumper setting or in CMOS utility overclocking option. and also just to inform you that your motherboard is in Overclocked condition when set, because it only supports processors up to 333mhz FSB (http://www.digital-daily.com/motherboard/soltek-sl75frv/)
