That's for the back cover for the Nikon N90/N90S, which is what the F90/F90X are known as in North America.

I would like a 35-105 or 35-135 lens for my nikon f90x which one can i use

The F90X can use just about any Nikon-mount lens made in the past half-century, with the exception of lenses specifically designed for digital cameras with smaller sensors.

Nikon currently makes two 24-120mm lenses:

Among older lenses there are autofocus 24-120mm, 28-105mm, 35-105mm lenses:

There are a number of third-party lenses as well, from makers such as Sigma, Tamron, and Tokina.

Is it possible to modify F90 SLR to Dgital camera?? Thanks.

A long time ago (1994-1996) Kodak produced digital backs in a DCS 400 series which were 1.5mpx and a DCS 460 that was mpx which mounted to the Nikon F90x. The F90 series was the only 35mm film camera to my knowledge that was capable of using this back due to is fast auto focus feature and the electronics. The camera needed some modifications to accept the DCS 400 series Kodak digital back which was again the size of the camera making it heavy and a bit awkward to use. So to answer you question yes it is possible by finding and purchasing one of these backs. Would someone want to do this in today's era of digital I don't think so. To me Nikon F90x would be far better left untouched and enjoyed as a film camera then destroyed by adding a digital back. I'd better add "In my opinion". Also if I may add Kodac also made a DCS 400 series back that would attach to a medium format modular camera. Sorry I don't have a picture I can use of the DCS 400 series even the Kodak site didn't show one.

Don't know how to open the film door

To open the film door just pull the rewind crank upwards. Make sure that you have rewound the film first though! (press the rewind button on the bottom rear right of the baseplate, and then turn the rewind crank clockwise until you feel the film disengage from the take-up spool).

Please take a moment to rate my reply.

Although the camera seems to be working ok, and the loading process has been checked, my daughters b&w film prints do not come out when developed, the films are new and others in her photography class...

The F90x is like many other automatic winding SLR's in that it winds film back into the cassette as the film is exposed rather than by pulling the film out (which then has to be manually rewound back into the cassette after the final exposure).

So if the developed films are coming back totally blank (i.e. clear, apart from pre-imprinted information such as frame numbers and film edge markings) it can only mean that the film has not been exposed. This will happen if the film was not initially wound out of the cassette at all or if the shutter mechanism is not exposing the film. In the first instance, there will be a blackened frame or two at the start of the film after the initial darkened film leader, where the same frame has been exposed repeatedly. But if this fault occurs then it also shows up as the film does not get wound back into the cassette with each new exposure. I therefore strongly suspect that the shutter assembly is faulty and it's not an uncommon fault.

The official fix is to replace the shutter assembly, but it's not cheap to buy and labour is also expensive and on some models the parts can be difficult to obtain (I haven't repaired an F90 for a while, so don't know one way or the other). In reality, repair costs far outweigh the cost of the camera so it's better to consign the F90 to be cannibalised for spare parts and to obtain a suitable replacement model.

Both autofocus and earlier manual focus Nikons can be easily obtained for free or peanuts on FreeCycle/Freegle or on auction websites.

Nikon N75 or Canon EOS 10????????

How is the film stuck? Is the rear door stuck? Does the film door open?

As long as you do not damage the film canister, the film will be ok. If the door opens and the film is rewound, use something to pry out the top of the canister from the camera. Then you can remove the film.
Even a film roll of 36 should not get stuck. Check the cartridge are for anything sticky. Sometimes these older cameras get some sticky residue from decaying foam in the shutter area. This would be a good time to send it in for CLA - Clean, Lubricate, Adjust.
My own EOS 10 had that problem. If you can't get the film out, the repair shop will do that for you.

more info on the type of film. Some mail order 35 mm film is actually 35mm Movie film and therefore is not really intended for 35mm still cameras. I have seen this problem with these types of film.

Nikon f90x command dial

It would need to be professionally serviced as it sounds like an electronics issue. However, you might want to consider how cost effective that would be as used F90S and F90X bodies are selling for $50 - $60 right now.

http://completed.shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQLHQ5fCompleteZ1QQ_dmptZFilmQ5fCameras?_nkw=nikon+f90X+body&_sacat=15230&_fromfsb=&_trksid=m270&_odkw=nikon+f90X&_osacat=15230

It might make sense to sell yours for parts and pick up a used one.

Like the newer digital SLRs, the camera requires that you have the aperture ring on the lens set to the minimum f stop, i.e. the highest number F22, F32.
