This is probably because your PC's sound card is not installed. Go to google.com and search with your PC manufacturer with complete model number or you can search by motherboard's model if you know.

If your PC is a branded one (Dell, HP etc) you will find the model number on a sticker on any side or bottom of PC case.

If you do not know your PC's model, download and install Driverdetective and let it search for drivers.

Hi i have HP Proliant ml 150 but i cant install server 2003 . how to install windows server 2003

Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP x64? They're the same operating system as I understand it. You must have 64 bit hardware installed on your computer to run a 64bit operating system.

What errors if any are you seeing when you attempt to install this OS?

Go to you system information icon in the control panel. Click on hardware, then look down the list of sound devices.

When you get the name, go to the manufactures web site and get the driver for your system. Download it to either the desktop or a new folder and then install it.

K8V-X SE Sound Card In xp 64 does not work!

Hi brian_stiver,
click on this Asus link for the K8V-X SE board;
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=K8V-X%20SE&SLanguage=en-us

You must click the dropdown menu & choose Windows XP!
Than click the Search Button.
DO NOT pick Windows 64bit from the list of operating systems.

Asus list audio driver support for Win64bit here;
SoundMax AD1980/AD1888 Audio Driver version 5.12.2.5280 for Windows 64bit XP/2003.
Download the file named; ad1980_1888_51225280_64bit.zip
Create a folder on your desktop & name it Audio. Save the *.zip file in to your Audio folder. When you uncompress the the *.zip file keep all uncompressed files within your Audio folder.
The reason for keeping all the files within the Audio folder is you may need to install the sound drivers through windows device manager if the audio setup.exe program fails.

Good luck!
Mike
