SOURCE: ice tray stuck
Hi My Samsung freezer was nor a RB2155 it is a RS2630SH however after not making any ice because the tray was stuck in the upside down position or thereabout after 6 weeks it suddenly started making ice again, we had not done anything to it but we heard it dropping ice one evening and we had a look in the ice container and low and behold the ice box was full to the top, I would still like to know why it went like that in the first place in case it happens again it is a mystery. There is no adjustment for the water level. 9 times out of 10 this problem is with the electric water valve itself. It is not opening all the way, and since the amount of water that is allowed into the ice maker is on a time control, the tray is not filling properly. A new water valve should fix the problem. Not very difficult to install. Shouldn't cost more than $25.00 from an appliance parts store. Good luck, dfink

-2 although below freezing temperature, is not really enough to keep food really frozen. I am presuming we are talking in Celcuis. You need to set the freezer to a lower setpoint.

I know that model very well and I would like to know how long you have owned it and will you or can you find someone that can perform some electrical test fo you. When Samsung made that brand they made a major mistake on the defrost heater elements. They were woven into the evaporator coil. If less that 5 years old it should fall under sealed parts warranty. When I look at a refrigerator from here there are so many possibilities of what is going on that I ask that this is not where to rate my solution. I see that you mentioned the digital controls but are they visible or gone whacked out? Sea Breeze
