Hi, isn't there a way to control the Video functions of the iPod from the head unit itself?

Ok for the first post with the ipod not showing video .. make sure that you have the correct cable running from behind the deck to the ipod .. (iPod Direct Control (CD-I200 Required) once you have that connected you need to go to the video settings of your ipod and turn on the video out .. by default its offf... also remember with movies on your ipod .. that has to be manually selected from the ipod itself .. you cant control the videos from the pioneer unit.. only the audio/music on your ipod can be selected from the pioneer unit..

Do you have the actual CD-IB100 box from pioneer, or is it just cables and wires?
Make sure you have the IP bus cable plugged into the right port on the CD-IB100

Pionner cd-iu200v plays video from Iphone, no picture on avh4100

Check the initial settings menu (you will probably have to reset the system to get it to reappear) and set the aux 1 to IPOD. This will let the ipod video play via the aux 1 just like it is supposed to. This solution is buried in the manual but is really hard to pull together.

When i connect my ipod video to my pioneer avh-5900 it says that i have to use my ipod for full function, but i turn on the video ut, but i still can't see the video!... plz help meee :(

I have the same problem. If your using a Ipod classic 120, you need the authentication chip cable in order to get video out.. If you have an older model, try changing the video source when the unit is turned off.

Switching between Pal & ntcs

This units display color system is set for NTSC. As far as I can tell you cant change this setting. You can refer to the display information in the manual. Page 111 of 128 at: http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/130/130AVHP570.PDF

you have to get an iPod cable that gives you RCA outputs. Just connect the RCA outputs from the iPod to the AUX inputs on the unit. I believe that should do it. Ebay sells the iPod cables, and most electronics stores should as well

Broken pioneer avh-p5700dvd!!

It's more likely to be a surface mounted fuse, this unit has a lot of protection but you need to strip the unit down and continuity test the fuses but be careful there is a large flexible printed circuit board which is easy to damage if you're not careful
