Solve the resulting quadratic equation
2X^2+3X-90=0
Discriminant: (3)^2-4(2)(-90)=729=(27)^2
Two roots
X_1=(1/4)*(-3+27)=6
X-2=(1/4)*(-3-27) =-(15/2), negative
Since the width must be positive, reject the negative root and keep X_1=6
Width =6
Length=2(6)+3=15

Check 6*(15)=90. Checks OK

How do I set up the GNC ProTrack GF-0008 Digital Pedometer Plus Body Fat Monitor:


I just won one from GNC and not sur if it is working properly, because screening is flashing in some type of error mode. removing battery was only way to reset.
1. First normal screen is the time display. (only shows 3 numbers.)
2. Press "set" then up/down for correct time.
3. after setting time, press up/down for 12h/24h format
4. Press "mode" & NO 1 flashes, showing Wt 50 Kilo & Man
5. Press "Start" and place one thumb on each end of unit to auto-read body fat.
6. Set weight in Kilos (not sure how to convert unit to lbs, before setting, so maybe use online converter.
7. Set ht, age, man/woman, stride, using up/down arrows.
Follow process for users 2-5,

This isthe amount of increase in weight as the bow is drawn. It occurs in all bows,but can be intensified in three ways. First, the bow may be too short for thedraw length. A longer bow could help this problem. Second, the ratio offiberglass weight or thickness should also be increased. Third, the moreradical the limb design the more the stack will increase. How to build height without medicines suggest only exercise


1. VERTICAL HANGING:
This is a simple but an extremely effective stretching exercise which you can do at your home. All you need to have is a solid bar strong enough to hold an individual, fixed at least 7 feet above the ground such that the distance between your feet and the floor is atleast 4-6 inches. Hold your arms neither closer nor wider and start hanging. Hold as long as you can, and as you begin to tire, slowly swing back and forth and try to touch the ground with your feet. This will flex your spine and elongate it, so that you can add few inches to your height
Make sure that you flex your spine while stretching, and not merely twisting your wrists
Perform the Workout 3 times a week for optimal results
2. COBRA STRETCH:
This is basically a Yoga exercise intended to stretch your spine and make it supple and flexible, so that the cartilage between your vertebrae grows thereby increasing your vertical height
Lie on the floor face down with palms on the floor under your shoulders. Begin to arch your spine up leading with your chin. Arch as far back as possible. Do 3-4 repetitions with each repetition lasting between 5-30 seconds
3. PILATES ROLL OVER:
This is an excellent workout to stretch your spine and lengthen your upper body. Apart from your spine, it also stretches and lenghthens the vertebrae of your neck.
Lie on your back with your arms along your sides, palms down. With your legs together, extend them straight up toward the ceiling and bend them backwards so that they touch the floor. It may not be possible to touch the floor at first, but you can do this by practice. The more your stretch, the more your spine lenghthens
4. FORWARD SPINE STRETCH:
Sit up tall on a mat. Your legs are extended about shoulder width apart, and your feet are flexed. Reach the top of your head but let your shoulders stay relaxed. Inhale and extend your arms out in front of you and slowly bend forward and try to touch the tips of your toes. If you are able to touch your toetips, stretch even forward so that your spine is flexed to the maximum extent.
Do 3-4 repetitions and hold each stretch for 10-15 seconds
5. ANKLE WEIGHTS: This exercise is solely intended to increase the length of your lower body, by stretching the cartilate between your knees. Prolonged stretching will elongate the cartilage and increase its mass, which in turn will increase the length your lower body
Sit on a high chair and use a Ankle weight fastener to add weights to your ankle. Start with small weights initially and gradually increase as you go on. Allow your legs to stretch down with the pressure of the weights. Once completed, remove the weights and relax your legs by kicking your legs gently for 5-10 times, and then vigorously for 5-10 times. This will flex your knee cartilate to enable it to grow in length

Perform the Workout 3 times a week for optimal results

How to Determine Body Fat Percentage
Setting & Storing Data in the Memory
1. Turn the power on using the set button.
2. Select a Personal data number using the Up/Down arrow buttons, then press set.
3. Select your Age using the Up/Down arrow buttons to scroll through numbers, then press set.
4. Select Male or Female using the Up/Down arrow buttons, then press set.
5. Specify the Height using the Up/Down arrow buttons, then press set.
The unit will beep twice and the display will flash all data (Male/Female, Age, Height) to confirm the programming. The power will shut automatically, or you can tap the weight only button (in front of monitor) for quick shut off.
How to select Personal Data Number
1. Press the Up memory button to turn on.
2. Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to select your personal data number, then press set.
3. The unit will beep and the display will show the programmed data.
4. The unit will beep again and the display will show '0.0' and then step on the platform.
5. Your weight will show first, then "00000" will appear and then your Body Fat Percentage will appear on the display.

"Length is one of the most important characteristics of a Snowboard. The length of a Snowboard is measured from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail. The length is usually measured in centimeters and often abbreviated to just the last two digits. Board length varies from 100cm to 180cm. To find the appropriate length for you, start by comparing the board length to your height. Although there are no dead set Rules in Selecting Board Length, the following are several guidelines to get you started. When holding the board on its end: * Short board should reach somewhere between your collar bones and chin. Shorter boards are easier to maneuver, great to be trained on, and often preferred by riders who do a lot of Snowboarding Tricks, park and Pipe Riding. * Medium length should come up between your chin and eyebrows. This length is preferred by all around intermediate to advanced riders who ride a variety of terrain, including parks and steeps. * Long boards should go from your forehead to several inches over the top of your head. Long boards are used for high-speed carving, deep powder snow surface, and big mountain terrain. Choosing the suitable board length is not only influenced by your height but also by your weight. Keep in mind that a Snowboard acts like a leaf spring - it has no clue how tall the person standing on it is. However, it does know your weight. Based on your weight or body structure, the following will help you choose the Right Length of Snowboard: * Lighter people should have shorter, more flexible boards. This is because a lighter person on a longer board commonly has a hard time controlling the board and initiating turns. * For an averagely built person, the board length should reach somewhere between the chin and your nose. * Heavier people should have longer, less flexible boards. A short board isn't advisable for heavy riders because the board often have a tendency to ""wash out"" or perform poorly, especially at higher speeds. * Freestyle riding is often done with a shorter board to allow better maneuverability. * Freeriding, deep snow, and racing boards will be longer in size. * For riders who are into Backcountry Snowboarding, go longer for stability. You may also consider your aggressive or timid style. If you're the type of boarder who really attacks the hill, you'll want to increase the length of your Snowboard up to five centimeters from the average size. Then again, if your riding style is naturally slower in character, go down five centimeters. Still, keep in mind that one Snowboard doesn't do it all."
