Most likely you are going to need to reformat the computer and reinstall windows. if you can get your hands on the same version of windows there should be a windows key sticker located on the laptop. Then you just put this key in and you are good to go and you wouldn't have to purchase a retail copy that way. This is a security feature built into windows and is no way of bypassing it.
Thank you,
Lee

If you have the operating system disc, then you just need to enter the bios, usually by hitting the escape key. otherwise when you first turn it on it should tell you which button to press it may be f2 or something like it. Once you enter the bios make sure it is booting to the cd/dvd drive first. Then it will boot to the operating system disc and you can reinstall it.
    Thank you,

Most people don't put on a bios password, so you should be able to hit the key to get into the bios, once you do that you can change the boot order to boot to the cd/dvd drive. f12 should be to access boot manager, and f2 should be to access the setup.

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Bios stuck on my toshiba L305D-S5934 it not doing nothin when pressing F2 or F12 but CTRL/ALT/DELETE then it just restarts.. i took out RAM, then computer will not boot up replace ram one at a time bios...

u can re-set the BIOS by removing the BIOS battery, the BIOS battery(wrist watch cell) is the size of a Dime inside the laptop, so you need to open the laptop, i suggets you visit a technician to do this.
Try doing the following also.
remove the power adaptor and remove the battery from the notebook, keep pressing the power button for 3 - 4 mins. Refit the battery / power and re-start.

How do i reset the bios password on a toshiba satellite L305d-s5934 labtop

Usually, there is the CMOS battery located in your laptop's main board. You just have to take that battery off for like 3 minutes and then return it back. You will have to open your laptop's screws underneath. If this laptop is still under warranty, do not open it as it will revoke the warranty seal. Just take if to an authorized service center and let them do it for you for free.

That's just the way Windows works when power is cut off. You should set your Control Panel/Power settings to put the PC into hibernation if it's left alone for too long.
