Problem for Acer Aspire 5050-3242 (LX.AG30J.012) PC Notebook
Acer Aspire 5050-3242 - Orbicam Not working
My inbuild orbicam not working,
i tried with installing Orbicam, suriyan, logitech drivers nothing works.
Camera devices not recoginsed in device manger, it showing as 'unknown device' under USB controllers. i have searched the world over with far too many times failing to work.
i could not upload drivers via device manager. Can someone help me to resolve the problem.

- My Acer Aspire 5050, acer obicam is currently not working.I bought my laptop about two years ago, and it crashed on me, so i had to put it in a repair shop. I just recently got it back (i know, what a long wait!) and they had to put new everything in it. now the acer orbi cam is no longer on the main screen. I've been through this WHOLE computer. Every file, every program, tried the search program, everything. Nothing leads me to fixing it, or even showing it as part of the computer. i need my webcam! i have many friends that i keep & touch with, most importantly my family. help with this problem! & fast! - lmwhatley

Hi if you are using WinXP install SP2 so that your Cam is recognized and then install the corresponding driver for the Cam .

try downloading the Crystal Eye Webcam Driver for the Aspire 4710Z model and install the drivers and the application that comes with the drivers.that pretty much solved the problem for me.I also installed webcam max software to make sure it would work with third party appz.it seems the orbicam software is the one causing the problem.
