Hmm, have you tried another pair of headphones? That will tell you right away if it is an issue related directly to the headphones or an internal problem with your Ipod. If another pair works, then problem solved, as I myself have had the same problem. Otherwise, hopefully it is still in it's warranty period (Ipod) and you can have it fixed/replaced! Good luck!

My left headphone of my ipod is not working anymore what can i do to fix this ?

The headphone may be faulty and not the IPod. Connect a different headphone to the IPod to check if the left headphone is still faulty. If the left headphone is still faulty then the IPod headphone is probably faulty and needs to be repaired.

Music only comes from the left headphone

This is a common problem with the headphone jack - if you google "ipod 30Gb headphone jack repair" there are both places that will replace the jack and places that will sell you the new "ribbon" connector and hold switch and jack (it's all one unit). If you're comfortable opening the iPod and have a TINY (#000) jeweler's philips head screwdriver you can replace the unit with no soldering. It helps if you have patience and small fingers and good light; you'll have to fasten the ribbon connector carefully. I paid under $10 for my last part but I've seen the same part for $30+, so caveat emptor. For that price they should put it in for you...

When I plug my iPhone into the USB it doesn't

ANSWER: The headphone jack will not charge your iPod. Only the USB will charge your iPod. However, the headphone jack will play music, but the USB will not play music from your iPod.
REASON: The headphone jack does not provide any power to charge your iPod. It isnly has enough power to recieve a music signal.
REASON WHY YOU CANNOT PLAY IPOD THROUGH THE USB: The USB is only intended to be used with a flash drive or external hard drive with a folder structure containing either .mp3 or .wma files. The way the USB works on the system is that it reads all the files and folders on the entire device and will say "reading" until it reads all the files and folders. This should only take a few seconds but if there is tons of files it may take longer. Main problem: An iPod contains much more than just music files and folders - it contains an entire operating system. Worse, the operating system which the iPod uses is protected, keeping other devices except for iTunes from reading the music files.
TO PLAY MUSIC FROM USB (NOT IPOD): You will need to use a flash drive or external hard drive with your USB. This device can only contain music, and the music must be organized into folders. Your iPod will not work. However, you can use Auxiliary input using a cable which both ends are 1/4" headphone jacks, one end going to the iPod and other plugged into your stereo.
SOLUTION: To charge your iPod, you need to plug it into USB. However, to play music, you need to plug your iPod into the headphone jack.

It's one of 3 things.  Either you have a bad aux cable, the cable isn't pushed in all the way into the ipod/stereo, or you have a bad connection on the ipod itself.
To test theory #3, plug in some headphones and wiggle the cord around... good?
To test theory #2, give a good push on the ipod.  sometimes it appears to be seated all the way but isn't.
To test theory #1, well.... you just need to buy a new cord and give it a go.
It would be very hard to believe that it's your vehicle causing the problem.  Ipods get a lot of use/abuse out of them with tension on the headphones.  This can cause internal loose headphone connections on the ipod itself.  Hopefully it's just not seated properly or your cord gave out on you.  Ipods aren't cheap.
Good Luck

Ipod Nano 1st gen 4gb. Headphone jack signal in mono, not stereo.

most likely headphone jack is broken. option one is to take it to the apple store and have them repair it. option 2 is to go on e-bay and buy a replacement jack and try to do it yourself. best option is to sell it on ebay as broken/needs repair. Someone who knows how to fix them will buy it from you and you can use the money you get to buy a good used working iPod. There are always tons of nanos for sale on ebay.

IPod- right earphone doesn't work

Yes, the headphone jack will need to be resoldered back in place. You can get it fixed at a computer repair shop or electronics shop. It shouldn't cost that much to get it repaired. Good luck to you:)
