Right click on it, then choose "open with", this will open a small window that you can find the necessary software to open that file. Just find the program in which you want that file to open on a supported format.

Formatting video files to be .MOV

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX.If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatiblevideo file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format thatyour MP3 player uses.Click on this link for instructions on converting videofiles for MP3 players :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player

Hi, i copy the mp4 videos to HTC smart phone. But it's doen't play? what shall i do?

the problem you tell seems to be a formate problem or the files are corruted but the main problem seems that the file is not supported by your mobile that mean you have to change there formate with a vedio formate converter with the help of computer and if your mobile support the mp4 formate then your vedio file either not copied correctly or they are corrupted.

File format not supported.... I can't play a mp3 file on my phone despite changing name already

try to delete the file or mp3. after deleting the file transfer another mp3 file using a cable or by bluetooth.
this phone supports MP3/AAC/M4A however if your file e.g is not supported and you just rename it it wont work because it was not originally written in the file format that you device can handle.

hope this help

Unsupported file format

You phone will only support certain file formats.
Go to Samsung and get the manual Click Here
The owners manual will tell you what music files, video files, picture files are supported by the software.
Then you may have to convert your files to work in your phone.

My SmartDisk 80 gb FireLite hard drive says it is full but it is empty. What could be the reason for this and how would I format it? I use a Macbook pro. I dont want to have to buy a new external...

You will receive an error message when copying a file larger than 4GB to the hard drive if the drive is formatted FAT32. The FAT32 file system has a file size limitation of 4GB. You may also receive an error when backing up to the hard drive using backup software. To correct this problem you will need to format the drive to NTFS. If you are using Windows ME or 98SE, you will not be able to use NTFS.
There are some products that do not support the NTFS files system or changing their file system. If you own a FlashTrax/FlashTrax XT/FotoChute/PhotoBank/USB FireLite XPress, you cannot change the format of the drive to NTFS. It must be kept as FAT32 in order to operate properly. If you are using SOHO NAS via ethernet, do not format it to NTFS. If you have any questions, please contact technical support before you format the drive.

Warning: Formatting a hard drive erases all data from the drive. Please backup any data prior to formatting the hard drive.
To format to NTFS, open My Computer.
1.Right-click on the Verbatim hard drive, left-click on Format.
2.Select NTFS as the File System.
3.Place a check in Quick Format.
4.Click Start.
Once the format completes, you will be able to copy files larger than 4GB to the hard drive.

File format not supported

You have to change the Rip Options --> Format in Windows Media Player to Mp3, or else the files will transfer as a raw CDA, and the Philips will keep giving you this message.
