There could be a couple of reasons for this. When this occurs, look to see if the load is evenly distributed around the circumference of the tub. If not, redistribute and continue with spin cycle. The machine may not be level. Check to ensure that the machine's leveling legs are making contact with the floor and that there is no movement when you attempt to rock the machine. If the unit is sitting on a soft floor, this could happen from time to time.

Maytag Appliances are ****!! Don't buy Maytag. Spent $2500.00 in 2005 on Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. They have been nothing but trouble. Washer has water running in tub constantly. Recall on ground and recall on footing. Dryer making loud noise when drying clothes.The Maytag man is dead and gone.
