Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
Check the discharge hose coming out the back of machine, sounds like you do not have the hose set correctly. Make sure there is a vent/ hose is lower coming out of back of machine.

Chad -- Your problem most likely is the drain hose is either
a) Clamped tight to a drain line of some sort allowing water to siphon out
b) Washer drain hose is Shoved too far down the drain pipe
c) Drain pipe is lower than tub of washer alllowing water to drain
