Check the discharge hose coming out the back of machine, sounds like you do not have the hose set correctly. Make sure there is a vent/ hose is lower coming out of back of machine.

Washer continuously fills

Not sure if you mean that it fills all the time and overflows or you mean that it just always fills and never has enough water.
The first problem would refer to a faulty water level switch - need to replace.
The second would be that the washer drains as it fills - if the drain hose is lower than the washer, inspect the anti-siphon valve.

Check your washer drain line for a possible siphoning condition. The following link explains:

Read through the link I provided. Your problem may be a simple matter of drain hose placement. If this does not solve your problem, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Washer continuously filling/emptying

Your drain hose from the washer is in your household drain line too far, should not be any further in the drain line than 7 inches

Whirlpool washer fills, begins to agitate, then drains

Water siphoning out the drain line
If the water is continues to fill and water is draining while it is filling or agitating, Check the height of the stand pipe. It should be about 36" above the floor. If the height is correct it may need to have an anti-siphoning valve installed into the drain line.
moz-screenshot.jpgThe washer fills and drains at the same time only on the rinse cycle.
Shut the machine off with timer during this period and raise the drain hose. If the water continues to drain, you will need to install an anti-siphon kit.

Washer both fills and drains at the same time

if your unit is both filling and draining this is usually from a siphoning action, caused by improper drain lines, you should drain the unit into a standpipe at lleast 36inches from floor, and have an "air gap" so as to prevent "siphoning"
