Hi,

It could either be the filter (most likely), the drain pump (likely) or the drain hose/tube (least likely).

Normally, there would a filter somewhere at the bottom of your dishwasher with the primary function of keeping large particles of food and foreign objects away from the impeller/pump. Most current dishwashers have self-cleaning filters and therefore regular cleaning is no longer a concern. However, some other dishwashers need to have the filter manually removed and cleaned regularly or as even in your case. If the filter or grate is clogged or blocked with debris, it may interfere with the normal functioning of your dishwasher and may cause the problem as you have described.

To check the filter and/or the drain pump, the bottom has to be exposed, the filter/pump located and cleaned.

There are pages online with illustrative description and detailed procedures on how to go about this. Perhaps you can try referencing here and/or here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I have an lg 1415 dishwasher .. it started on a wash ,but stopped 2 mins in beeping with 'OE" flashing .water pooled at the bottom not draining. watt does "OE' mean .. and is it blocked ?...

Hi michelle_133,

The "OE" error code you are seeing, means "Outlet Error"

The drain pump is either clogged, or the outlet hose has been kinked.
- Inspect the Drainage hose at the back for kinks. - If any, straighten the hose
- Open the unit, and at the bottom sump check the small drain pump area for any foreign object that may be obstructing it. It has small holes that **** water away after the main wash, and while rinsing. Foodstuff may be blocking these holes, also remember to clean the filter after every wash.

Kind Regards :-)

Diswasher is not draining. The bottom is full of water. What is the problem, how do I correct it?

always when posting make and model are very helpful. most likely there is something blocking the drain ports on the basin. the most common article would be the clear wrap of a tv dinner.. or something like that .. or a paper that was surrounding a can or bottle that you put thru your dishwasher cycle. most often it is reocmmended not to wash your recycling in the dishwasher as this is a common problem that can ruin your machine. is it new ? is this the first time using it? who installed it. would be my next questions and if it is any of the above then chances are someone didnt uncap and port for drainage... if you have used it before and now all of the sudden it is blocked then it is something like a paper or clear plastic blocking your drain ports at the base in the middle of the dishwasher you will see a grate with holes if they are blocked it will not drain.

Lights are flashing with OE flashing stopped washing

OE is a drainage problem. Check all lines, and drains for kinks.blockage. Ours was blocked in the T connection where the drain goes into the sink( in the black ABS sink part.) Used a screwdriver to simply clear the t connection with the drain hose disconnected.... ran the DW( where it fills w/ water) ,then turn off, and put the drain hose into a bucket... if its pumping water out well, then it could be the sink drain.
If not... a line somewhere is plugged.

Sink dishwater intrusion

Hello- Find drain hose from dishwasher under sink. Should have gooseneck ~ in hose run to keep water from getting back into dwshr. Does full sink drained all at once push water into tub? Sometimes stuff not disposalled yet blocks drainage. Older motors can tend to become weak with age, not pumping as much water out of tub as it used to.Anyway- Hope this helps- ED

Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

Hi,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Good Luck!!!

DE code flashing on my Lg dishwasher (model 2131).

Hi, it seems you have a drainage problem. Try to reset the machine, or start a new cycle. It should start draining straight away. If not, listen carefully to see if the dishwasher is making a huming noise. If it is then the waste pump is blocked. If not it might need a replacement pump.

My trusty Bosch s510 Dishwasher which has been going strong for about 17 years (at least) has just decided not to empty itself. I noticed the bottom was full of water after a wash. I emptied all the water...

Same problem, so went out and bought a new bosch. Problem with the S510 was cured by lubricating the pump out motor bearings with a squirt of WD 40. If you don't know which pump, follow outlet hose to pump outlet.

Drain pump continuously runs when dishwasher switched on no displays on front ,stays full does not heat ,or start program

Our AEG did this (but it did display an errorcode). It simply meant that there was a water on the bottom of the machine. I found this out by tilting the machine so the water leaked out and than the machine ran normally for the next two washes. Then the same problem occured so there had to be a leak somewhere. I opened the machine up and found one of the hoses was blocked causing an overflow.
Hopes this helps you to pinpoint the problem.

Dishwasher not working

Hi Frazzledmum, Miele have a safety float switch in the bottom of the machine. (The float is a polystyrene disc). If the machine leaks for any reason, then the water sits in the bottom tray raises the float switch & all your dishwasher will do is activate the drain pump and flash those red lights at you. The reason is that somewhere under the machine there is a leak that needs to be investigated & repaired so in this instance I'm affraid that you will have to call a serviceman. Kind regards
