Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

My dishwasher wont turn on when start is pressed. It wont fill. We have checked all connections and it is plugged in. We got it to work about 5 times by using the reset code but it never would start to fill by pushing the start button. We have tried many things and nothing is working.

It seems that the control board is faulty as there is no reponse to the panel even with all checks. So if the power seems right , ther fault can be the program controller.
Please check the motor wiring, the pump and connections once again before the board can be changed.

Hi Mingsten 1) check the water valve under the sink make sure it is open. 2) check if the water line is pinched or twisted 3) if you have a meter you can check if you get power to the dishwashers water valve ( it is under the dishwasher. behind the kick plate.) you will have to remove 2 or 4 screws to get to it. hook up your meter and close the door. wait for the pump out and check for 110-120 volts when the dishwasher should fill.. 3) if you have power at this time you will need a need dishwaher water valve.. 4) if you get no power then you may have other problems ( let me know and we can go deeper) I hope this helps let me know...

My kenmore dishwasher wont start at all now. It used to start if you pushed certain buttons a bunch of times but now the lights next to most of the buttons light up but it wont start a cycle. any ideas?

Hello

Ensure that the dishwasher is connected to a working power supply. Check the local fuse or circuit breaker and restart as necessary.

Open and shut the door firmly until it latches into place. The dishwasher will not function if the door is not latched into position.

Select the desired cycle and press the cycle button firmly, as you must choose a cycle in order for the dishwasher to begin operation.

Look at the water valve that is connected to the dishwasher and ensure it is turned on.

Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power supply to reset the unit. Plug it back in and select a new cycle. Select "Start." If the dishwasher still does not start, contact an authorized service technician.

Why would my dishwasher not fill?

Check the following:

Make sure the water is turned on to the dishwasher

When you press the start switch, you should hear a "click" which is the water valve opening - if no click, you should check the water fill valve. Remove the lower front cover and find the valve with a water line connected to it. It should be about 3/8" flex or copper line. These valves can malfunction over time and they can also get clogged. You can check for clogging by turning off the water and removing the line to the valve. Check for debris. Use a shallow pan to catch the water so you don't get it all over the floor.

If you don't hear a click when you start the machine, it could also be the control board, although the water valve is more likely to be the issue.

Dishwasher starts then stops

My (KUDI01TJ)Dishwasher did the same thing.
I Pressed start, it acted like it was starting and then turned off.

FIX:
I started the rapid advance service diagnostic feature:
1.Close dishwasher door
2.press "Hi-Temp Wash"
3.press "Energy Saver Dry"
4.press "Hi-Temp Wash"
5.press "Energy Saver Dry"
This started the diagnostics and the dishwasher went through each cycle.
After this, my dishwasher worked fine.

I think the controller must have got in some wierd mode and unpluging the washer would not clear it out but running the
diagnostics cleared it.
Hope this works for you
