That varies depending on the model of the keyboard.

Download the user manual and look in the "Specifications"... You will find the power consumption listed there. Most will be UNDER 50 Watts.

My yamaha psrE23 not responding when plugged to electricity what maybe the problem if I put batteries it's just giving me a feedback

In terms of no electrical power it could be either a faulty power adaptor, broken socket. However the feedback with batteries could indicate a more serious fault. If the batteries are know to be good try a reset. Hold down the highest sounding key while turning the keyboard on. Release once you have lights or a display on screen. Has the noise stopped? If so then try electrical connection again, if still no power ensure you are using the correct power adaptor and see if it works if you wobble the connector - they break away causing an intermittent fault. Report back and maybe I can offer more advice depending on how you progress with the above.

Yamaha p90 keyboard sounds deteriorating

Does this still happen while using headphones? If so, I would suggest trying a different power adapter. If it's clean through the headphones then you may have a speaker malfunction.

I need a power supply cable for a Yamaha ps6100 portable piano keyboard... by the end of october. I can't find one anywhere, and Yamaha UK say it'll take a month to get one from them. Any ideas? Please

My solution was to change the original power inlet (mains socket) of the keyboard with a Euro IEC C14 power chassis inlet. Now it is ready to run with a standard power cable which you can find on nearly any computer or other electrical component.
What you need to do this, is a kind of file, the Euro IEC C14 power chassis inlet with the proper cable and a soldering iron.
The change of the chassis inlet was very easy: open the keyboard and loosen the two screws which holds the socket (it's more easy for you if you remove the plastic cap from the PWR Supply also). Disconnect and remove the old socket. Then take a file (or what ever you prefer - I used a Proxxon to speed up things a little bit) and widen the original opening very slightly. Solder the connecting cables from the old Yamaha socket to the new Euro socket, an install it. Close the keyboard und have fun :-)
Maybe this sounds very tricky and sophisticated to you, in fact it took not more than 20 minutes for me (if you have anythig you need at hand).
This works not only for PS-6100 but also for Yamaha PSR-6300.

I require a complete set of fixing bolts for a DGX-620 Yamaha electric keyboard which have been mislaid following dismantling. Can you advise how I might obtain a replacement set please.

If you contact Yamaha keyboards and tell them the model of your keyboard they can tell you exactly what part numbers they are and tell you how to order them. Here is the link:

Yamaha psr 400 give an Er 1 message when switched on and gives no sound when played. The demo works however

Wild guess of possibilities.

1. Internal backup battery exhausted.

2. Button OR key is stuck down, either mechanically or electrically.

Yamaha P-200 electric piano does not have any

Plug in your ear phones to see if you can hear the sound that way. If not you are experiencing some internal failure in your integrated amp output.

In that case you will need to get authorised service.

Adapter/Plug in

Wow. You most likely broke a connection on the back of the plug receptacle. Take it to a Certified yamaha, or electronics tech. Perhaps the music store you bought it from. Make sure they do it in house, or find out what tech they recommend. might save you a few bucks of mark-up.
