I have a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV22 mini... I need a USB drivers which can be supported on my windows vista for recording the stuff from handycam to my PC.. I am hving s/w but it does support on my windows vista
After plugging in my DCR TRV350 (Sony Camera) with Vista and using it for quite a while for video editing, I am discovering that Windows all of a sudden does not recognize it and is needing the USB drivers which of course refuses to install them. It worked fine with XP and initally with Vista, but after formatting my vista computer, it just doesn't work anymore. Someone please help!

The USB streaming feature is not supported with 64-bit Windows Vista operating systems.
The drivers required to connect most Sony® cameras and camcorders to a computer are already included in the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. Note: In some instances, the camera or camcorder may not be recognized by the computer when connected. In this case, check to see if there is an updated driver available for your model.
usb streaming function is not readily supported by windows vista. this would depend on the software that came supplied with the camcorder. unfortunately, the software being incompatible and the funtion (usb streaming) not supported by driver included in the supplied cd-rom, usb connection will not work (although you can use it for still picture transfer). for tape transfer you would need to go another route which is ieee1394 (ilink or firewire) connection. it should be a plug-and-play connection. your computer should support and have a working ieee1394 (ilink or firewire) card installed. a compatible ilink cable for both devices and a video capturing software like windows moviemaker and having all the needed hardware and software then your good to go. hope this helps.thanks:)
the usb driver and pixela application is not compatible with windows vista. usb streaming is not supported by windows vista and 7 OS. however it would still be possible to transfer videos from your dv camcorder using the dv interface (ieee1394 or ilink) connection. you would need to have an ilink (ieee1394) card installed in your computer. you can check by going to device manager window. if you don't, try checking with your PC manufacturer recommendations for an ieee1394 chipset or card.if you do, all you need is an ilink cable (btw, the cam uses 4pin jack).get the correct cable for use with the PC and camcorder, and use windows moviemaker for your video capturing software.hope this helps.thanks :)
