Question about ASUS A7V8X Motherboard

Screen blank, nor hard drives activities and cpu activity neither

An idea what it is?

    computer does but nothing, the only thing sure is cpu fan works, dsl led comes on, but no activity at all. Voltage is 4.7 I suppose it should be 5V or higher. What you think?

I have the same problem, however I get a message

"system failed cpu pact"

as a voice message and it is looped. The computer does not boot. It happens about 10 secs from power up. and that is as far as it gets.

Computer starts but no BIOS screen appears

Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty


if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail


make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty


even something as small as a faulty electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems

computers need all power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error


make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free


restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

My Intel Board DG41RQ beeps once at start up and after that it comes up with the Intel screen. After that it beeps once again and then starts to load the operating system.


the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk,and remains active untill turned off.
make sure that your RAM is securely seated
test or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive make sure the connections are secure including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your
((motherboard to hard drive))
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

Hi i have the following issues with my pc which has intel d845gvsr mobo n intel pentium 4 processor: 1. when i power on the pc cpu fan starts running with cpu power automatically comes on 2. keyboard...


yes it is problem with this type of intel original motherboard i advise you to go for new motherboard because this board is outdated and specially this problem occurs in this type of motherboard i face personally this problem .which is hard to repair. It is better if u think of updating the system then go for it. don’t waste money to buy new motherboard.

The fan is functioning the cpu fan is also functioning but there is no more activity


Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA and
the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
