If you get white glowing screen like the example in my troubleshooting guide, then you need to check the ribbon cable between the logic board and the LCD panel's T-CON board, it can be that the fuse is blown on the T-CON board or the logic board is not sending the 5 or 12vdc to the T-CON board. You need to do visual inpsection for bad connections, caps, etc.

Check with an external monitor. That will tell you if the monitor is faulty or the mother board has issues.

Computer screen is white and blank..the last thing i did was run a disk defrag and now its completely white...i dont know how to reset the monitor and i hook it up to my laptop to a double monitor options...

Not sure what you mean by resetting the monitor but pulling the power should get it back so you can see the Onscreen menu. If you can get inot the menu there is usually a reset or factory reset option.

As for dual screen w/laptop. The hardest part is telling the laptop to use the extra monitor. On my laptop the Function Key and F8 cycle the external monitor. You also need to tell windows if the new monitor sits to the left or the right of the laptop so the mouse works correctly.

The monitor will not show a picture the led is flashing green

* If the issue is visible in the monitor STFC (Self-Test Feature Check), the monitor is defective. * If not, the issue is with either the video card driver or the video card.
* Turn off both your PC and monitor * Disconnect the monitor from the PC (either the white DVI or the blue VGA. They should never be connected at the same time to one PC) * Turn the monitor on * The floating Dell red/green/blue/white dialog box should appear on a black background * Check for the issue

KDS K22WDb Monitor with white screen

Hello,

There are some brands of caps that will blown with no visible damage, also some will blown out the bottom so you can't see the damage. I would replace the caps in the power supply all except for the 1 very big cap on the input side. I would be that this fixes the problem you are having.

I have horizontal lines on the top of gateway computer monitor, the blue line at the top is barely visible and the close, minimize, and restore buttons can not be seen, can this be easily fixed with a free...

This could be one of two things:
It could be the monitor that is going bad. If it is, it would be best to replace it.

Second, It could be the Video board or the system memory. Which can be repaired.

If you have access to another monitor or a friend's system, try your computer on it. This will tell you whether it is the monitor or the computer.
Post the findings here, and we can continue to T/S it.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 White Display Screen

Hi,
First, hook up the laptop to an external monitor. Turn it on and try to get into the bios.
How compressed was the air you used to blow out the heatsink, and when you blew it out, did you have it unplugged and the battery removed? When you spin the heat sink fan, it creates current, like a little generator.
I gotta tell you, just removing memory won't cause the problem you're describing.
I've had several Toshibas with lcd issues, mostly caused by the onboard video modules on the motherboard getting hot.
Good luck.
If you can get video to an external monitor, let me know.
Thanks

Picture problems

What are normal things like text files and the desk top like? If it only photos that are problematical then it won't be the screen. Have a check around the system and a little think through- them come back
