Ummm I don't know? It's at the top of the screen like where all the other alerts are and it's a white capital E but when I turned my service off you know made it so it didn't have service it turned the E off then when I turned it back on it popped back up. It's there when I turn my phone on and off even lol I can't figure it out!

Haha don't worry about it! If the capital "E" you're talking about is up at the top near the center, then that just means that is the internet coverage availible, but its not connected. E is an abbreviation for some data coverage name. As you go to different places, that "E" might change into a "U" or a "G" or a "3G"... Now, if you have a small capitol letter overlapping the bars signal at the top right, then THAT means you are connected. To fix that, turn your service off and back on... Hope this helped

Just fully charged Sony Clie'---backlight is too dim..How to adjust??

You can set your pen drag function to adjust the brightness.
Click the drop down menu on the top right of your screen, then click "system", then "prefs", then click the button at the bottom of the screen that says "pen". Next, click the drop down menu beside the little icon that looks like your clie. Click that and select "brightness". Now, when you drag your stylus from the bottom to the top of the screen, a little slider bar will appear to adjust the brightness.

MDA touchscreen not working right

There is a screen adjustment in the system tab of the settings that might help. Click on Align Screen and try to align your display. The other thing is that make sure there are no germs below the frame of the display (between the screen of the display and the frame that is holding it) . You can use small cutter to remove the germs, but be very careful not to hurt your display.

WHY WONT MY 7280 CHARGE OR TURN ON

The red light indicates its charging.  My guess is that the battery is dead and will nto hold a charge.  This is an older model phone and the lives on the batteries is 1-3 years at most.

Trackball on 8100 pearl

well, you could try pushing down on the "pearl" and scrolling down. if not, get some compressed air, and blow around the little chrome rim part. if all else fails, you can take it out. BE CAREFUL DOING THIS THOUGH.

here is how to do it.

insert your nail or something small that wont scratch it on the TOP part of the little chrome rim. the top is because its the only part without a clip to hold it in place.

try to SLOWLY wedge it out, applying pressure little by little. you'll know when youre doing it right.blow compressed air there, but make sure to keep the actual pearl assembly parts in place. they can come out, but it is a very very hard process to put it back together should it come apart. place the rim back, remember to put the part without the little clamp ON TOP, pointing towards the screen.

hope i was helpful! dont hesitate asking me anything else!

Dark screen

Turns out the little button on the top left of the device is for adjusting the contrast. Turn on the WorkPad. Press the little button. Then hold down the down button and the contrast will be adjusted.

IPaq 6365 WiFi Wont Shut Off

There's a little utility I use (just because it's quicker than the usual iPaq Wireless screen buttons) called WirelessSwitcher. http://www.aspecto-software.com/WiFiFoFum/Utilities.htm Maybe this would do the trick for you.
