Question about Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4 for PC

Video/Audio Multiplexing Freeze

As of late, whenever I try to burn VCD mpeg files (about 16 to 18 of them) into a DVD, Ulead tends to freeze at the video/audio multiplexing process. The duration timer continues to tick though.I never had this problem before and burning would usually take about an hour and a half. I began to notice this problem when burning wasn't complete after 6 hrs.

I have had Movie Factory 4 for a couple of years now and never been a problem. I love it. Now it seems whenever I try and burn a DVD it gets to 99% on the video/audio multiplexing stage and just freezes. The only thing different that I am doing is that I have a new video camera that does HD footage but I convert it to MPEG2 before putting into Movie Factory. HELP !!

Hi

First i have to confirm you MPEG in file format of video clip or movie file, you have to install mpeg player, if try to play in "windows media player" you get no luck. so that one you i suggest to you download the VLC player, this is a multiple player to play the different type of music and video format.

1) Download the VLC player
2) Easy installation in all Windows version.

I think this is what you are looking for:
Video Download Studio enables you to convert between almost any video/audio formats
including Video formats (H.264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg-1,
mpeg-2, VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc.) and Audio formats (AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA,

I have recently bought a Konig analog to digital converter and also received the Ulead software CD with it. I have downloaded the Ulead software on my laptop successflly. I have Canon camcorder. If I want...

if the imported file properties showing as
Audio: Dolby AC3
then problem may be with audio codec, this modern codec may not be supported by your free ulead software.

download and install the trial version of VideoStudio 11.5+, take your video into that and generate your DVD-compliant files, using the Share, Create Video File functions to encode it

not certain that the trial version will encode AC-3 or not,
but you can try it

Hope this helps
Thank you

How do I compress files to record on dvd?

Use a program that compresses and converts the files so that they fit on a DVD and can be played on any DVD-player. I use Nero Vision Express 4 (usually included in the later Nero Burning Rom packages), TMPGENC 3 or DVD Flick. Import the avi-file and then export it as DVD-files (vob, bup, ifo) and the burn it on a DVD or let the program convert the file and burn it directly on a DVD. Make sure the program is set to export/burn files to fit the size of a DVD-5 (4.7 GB).

ERROR IN MOVIE WIZARD

Not sure what it means, but I found a way around it.

I get the same error when I try to burn a WMV (Windows Media Video) file to a DVD.

As a work-around, I converted the file to a MPG (MPEG-2) file. That took the size from 41 Mb to 357 Mb.

I was then able to burn the MPG file to a DVD successfully.

If you still have trouble, I would suggest creating an ISO image of the MPG file. That takes the size from 357 Mb to 508 Mb. You should then be able to create a DVD directly from the image file.

Good luck!

Evan
