Hi,
If your electric2_bing.gif oven is not heating then you probably have a bad heating element in your oven. This is not that hard to fix yourself...

Oven worked before cleaning and now it doesnt

I would check the oven elements and see if a wire has either come loose or shorted out. You might also try unplugging the oven or turning off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes and see if it resets. You will then need to reset the clock.

Heating elements

I have a Whirlpool super capacity 465, the surface light for the burners comes on, the burners don't heat up, nor does the oven,(the light that says oven is on does not light up). I checked the main circuit breaker, that works. Are there any fuses in the range that would need to be replaced?

Thank-You,maddie

Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

Hello stevefer
Welcome.

You said, Your Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

First,
1.What is the Model Number and the year of your wall oven?
2.Did the oven light up and display with any error codes?
3. Did you try to turn the breaker off for 5 minutes to see if this will reset the system?

Perhaps the heating element is failing and may need to be replaced.
I will be able to better assist you when you reply with this information.
Waiting your response.

Whirlpool sotve

Hi marywell,
Alot of times this is a sign that the voltage to the range is only half of what it should be. You may have a breaker kicked, or a bad fuse in your fuse box. When the range is only getting 110 volts instead of 220 volts, the oven will slowly heat but nothing else will work. check your breakers and I bet you will have the problem solved. Have a nice night and I hope this will FixYa. Please don't forget to rate me.

Whirlpool built in double electric oven

Okay...a few more questions. Are both elements NOT working? That is, BROIL and BAKE features are now dead? If so, you may an Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board failure. This is the clock/timer for your range. All the oven features are typically controlled by the EOC.

If its just one element. More than likely the element has blown. You will need to unplug the range and remove the back panel in order to access the terminal lugs where the elements penetrate the back of the oven wall. There are a pair of terminals for each element. A resistance check across these terminals will vary, but should read something on the K ohm scale. If the continuity readings are infinite (open) replace the element. I have a link under my "Tips and Tricks" that explains how to do this, if needed.

Are you confused yet? If so, please post back and let me know.

Whirlpool Electric Range Model RF379LXMT0 Power was off in house overnight and back on. Burners work but oven and controls for oven, timer and clock don't work.

I turned off the breaker switch for about 5 minutes
and then turned it back on. Now the oven, timer
and clock etc, are working again.
Thanks You
