Hi I've bought at ebay.uk a second hand

you can try unlocking your phone through codes. its the safe way to unlock your phone. because when you unlock your phone through software or hardware there are possibilities for data getting corrupted or lost. but there is no such possibilities when you unlock through codes. thats y i prefer this method to unlock my phone. i got the codes from this site Theunlockarena.com to unlock my phone.

I bought a second hand phone and when i turn it on it says "please enter sim password". i don't know what the password is, i've tried 3 different sims and it says the same thing. how can i get it unlocked...

Unfortunately the second hand phone has the password request activated and so is asking for the passworrd on switch on.
you will need to reset the software in this case.

When i open the gallery, phone shuts down

what has happend is that the phone has detected a virus, like if you have ever used the wire that came in the box to connect to your computer to charge or to create mass storage and the computer has an undetected virus that can get into the phone via the wire, so what i recomend you do is that you scan your computer for undetected viruses, and also restore factory settings on your phone turn it of for 30 seconds turn it on and try again, if this does not work contact your service provider or LG themselves and treat the situation from there.

Cannot use other sim can you give how to unlock

You will need to unlock the network settings on your phone. I could only find one way known to unlock some nokia phones.

==UNLOCK TO NETWORKS==
Unlock service provider: Insert sim, turn phone on and press vol up(arrow keys) for 3 seconds, should say pin code. Press C,then press * message should flash, press * again and 04*pin*pin*pin# \
*#7328748263373738# resets security code.
Default security code is 12345

I can not promise you it works however this is the only way that I could find from several resources. Post back if you need any further info.

Thank you for choosing Fixya!

I don't know the service provider

You would need to unlock it, so that it works with any network. Problem is It can't be done over the internet for that model. You would need the dongle and software to hook it to, so you could generate an unlock code.

There is one known process you can try but don't give your hopes up.

==UNLOCK TO NETWORKS==
Unlock service provider: Insert sim, turn phone on and press vol up(arrow keys) for 3 seconds, should say pin code. Press C,then press * message should flash, press * again and 04*pin*pin*pin# \
*#7328748263373738# resets security code.
Default security code is 12345

Good luck and thank you for trying Fixya!

You can try this Nokia procedure to unlock the sim for any carrier. Its not proven to work on all Nokia phones.

Unlock service provider: Insert sim, turn phone on and press vol up(arrow keys) for 3 seconds, should say pin code. Press C,then press * message should flash, press * again and 04*pin*pin*pin#

Hope this works for you, its the only known method that I know of for Nokia phones.Feel free to leave a positive rating for this solution. Thank you for stopping by Fixya!

Unlocking the network

Blacklisting
This is not a security code, but it may work like one! To help combat mobile phone thefts, the networks share a database of the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of mobile phones that have been reported stolen. Once a phone is on this list, it will not be allowed to use any of the networks.
This can be a risk if you buy a second-hand phone, because if it has been stolen, or if an unscrupulous seller makes an insurance claim after selling, the phone you bought in good faith may be permanently disabled.
Be very careful to check the source of a second-hand phone!
The only way to reset/unlock your phone is using a clip/device manually.
