I have this exact problem, same model number, brand new faucet. I noticed when the aerator is out, it doesn't leak. When I put the aerator back in, water starts flowing out that lift rod hole. A backflow problem? Leak or crack inside? I'd like the aerator in, because it's a pretty noisy, messy affair without it.

I have the same problem with mine and the water is definetly leaking from the aerator and running down the faucet to the base. I am trying to find a replacement aerator but have not had any luck. Any ideas where to look for such a part? Home depot, where I bought the faucet, does not have any that will work. The aerator must have a female connection on it.

Sounds like you have a defective faucet. I'm guessing this is a new faucet and there shouldn't be any water leaking from between the faucet and the counter top. All the fitting above the counter top are factory fittings.

The only possibility I can think of is that if you didn't use a back up wrench when you installed it and you twisted the factory installed lines too far while tightening the water supply line to the faucet, you could have broken a weld on the faucets supply line where it is connected inside the faucet.

Glacier bay faucet manual

Contact glacier bay to get a replacement control/handle assembly. Usually their customer service department is good at replacing the parts under warranty

You should have individual cold & hot water supply shut-offs in your basement for your tub/shower; if not, now's the time to install them.

If I could be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

If you the teapot style faucet directly on top of handle, the little round cap should come off so you can see the screw that lets you remove handle. The other style will have set screws on the outside of either handle. You will need a allen wrench.
