You need to have an PC suite installed in your computer for you phone to be recognized when connected to computer through an USB.

PC suite is specific for each ad every model of phone and it comes up with the phone in the form of a cd when you bought the phone..

If you do not have an PC suite , but if your phone is having a removable memory card then you can proceed as follows:

Buy an memory card reader which allows you to insert the memory card into the slot on the reader and connect it to the computer through USB port on the computer.

In both the cases the phone memory area would have been detected as an icon in the My Computer section of your phone and you can now transfer the pictures to that area...

How to transfer pictures to PC

Depending on the phone you have there are different options. The easiest might be if your phone uses a charging cable that plugs into a USB charging brick. If you plug the cable into your phone and then into your computer, your operating system might recognize that there are pictures on the device and ask if you want to save them to your computer. If that does not happen you can go to the Windows Explorer program (looks like files, NOT Internet Explorer) or Computer/My Computer option from your start menu and look for your phone as one of the "Removable Disks". Navigate to that disk, and then to the pictures sub-folder. Once you have located and opened the photo folder. you can click on the pictures you want to transfer (hold the "shift" key while clicking if you want to select multiple pictures), press "Ctrl" + "C" to copy these files. Then navigate to your "Pictures" Folder on your computer and press "Ctrl" + "V" to paste them to the pictures folder.

Another option, if your phone has a removable memory card that you have been saving the pictures to, and if you have a memory card reader in your computer, you can remove the memory card from your phone, put it in the memory card reader of your computer and follow the above instructions, but this time look for the memory card instead of your phone in the Windows Explorer or Computer program.

How do I get my pics from my I Phone 4 to my Droid

To transfer photos from an iPhone to a different type of phone (not another iPhone) you must first transfer all the pictures from the iPhone to a computer.

Your computer might need to have iTunes installed on it.

1. First you need make a new Temporary Folder on the computer, you can name it "iPhone Pics" or whatever name you want to name it.

2. Connect the iPhone (in the "ON" position) with a USB cord to the computer.

3. Once the computer notices the iPhone a small window will open asking you what you want to do.

4. You can click on either OPEN DEVICE to VIEW FILES or on OPEN PICTURES and VIDEOS.

5. From either one you would then locate the pictures that you want, COPY them and PASTE them one at a time or all of them together to the temporary file folder that you created.

6. Once you copied and pasted all the pictures that you want to the file folder you could leave the iPhone plugged in or you could disconnect it.

7. Now you need to plug in the PHONE that you want to transfer the pictures to, to the computer also using its compatible USB cord.

8. Again, once the computer notices this other phone a small window should also pop open asking you what you want to do. Simply click on "Open or View Files."

9. Now browse thru the file folders and locate where that phones pictures are located at. Then copy the TEMPORARY Picture Folder where you pasted all the pictures from the iPhone and PASTE it anywhere on the other phone by the pictures.

This would transfer all the pictures that you pasted on that TEMPORARY Picture Folder to your other phone.

10. Disconnect the phone from the computer and check your pictures on the phone.

In essence you are just copying pictures from one phone and pasting them on a different one. You just need to find them and paste them where you want them.

The below pictures illustrate how most phone connections pop up when you connect them to a computer.

I hope this was helpful to you and everyone who see's it!

Transfer pictures from old new phone

Your computer won't recognize your phone until it's drivers are installed. Google the model of your phone + the operating system +driver. Install the driver and then hook the phone to the computer by the usb that comes with the phone.

For example. If I had a Samsung Galaxy phone and Windows 7, I would type "Samsung Galaxy Windows 7 Drivers" into google. Download and install.

Another easier way to do it would be to simply Email the pictures to yourself and save them on the computer that way.

Good Luck

Can't get pics to phone

If the pics are on the computer, go to Windows Media Player 11 in the toolbar click on the arrow below Library, click on pictures, any pics on the computer should show up in the picture library, sync your phone via cable drag and drop to sync list and they should transfer. Pictures have to be in the right format to show up on a cell phone.
