Frozen screen I've got a 4gb 3rd gen iPod that i oinly bought a week ago in Aus, it froze last night, the songs stopped playing in the midst of a game and now all I see is "ipod quiz" on the screen! I've held all the buttons down, put it on hold and then off, pressed the menu button down for about a minute and NOTHING! Should I leave it and let the batteries run down? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can try to run the batteries down or you can try to open it, disconnect the battery and connect it again, before closing it see if the unit was reseted.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Ipod 5th Generation Video froze and is now dead

Try doing this: Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps!

Can't play video

Go to Google.com, Type in VIDEO CONVERTER, And install the one you find best. An Ipod is an MP3 player so it wont play MP4. I am getting the 4th or 5th Gen. Ipod and my sis has that ipod. That should do the Trick!

Ipod nano 8GB 3rd generation FROZEN!

You need to reset your ipod. Flip the hold switch on then off, then press select button and menu button at same time. Hold for 10 seconds or so. Ipod should shut off and reboot to apple screen. If this doesn't work first time try again. This should solve any stuck screen problems. Mine was stuck on pioneer screen and this operation fixed it.

Ipod problem - playing songs in order

sounds like you need a new hard drive, which has a little read-write disk in it that is getting finicky... just to get more use out of it lay it on side or other positions and hear if works ok...if so its diffently Hard drive. you know the sandisks are 2 gigs no moving parts why doesnt somebody put 20 together making 40 gigs and replace the failing Ipods!!??? just pure electronics and no moving parts and much smaller...not like a hard drive. I thought of this over 30 years ago looking at the first plug in video game.
