I have only unpacked - have not even put the photoconductor in and i live in a country town
Try this (as per Epson Tech Support): To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top
cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed (as you have already), the toner
carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way.
You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can
remove/reinstall a stuck toner cartrdige.
I hope this works for you. Let me know please!
I just changed my toner and after replacing the toner---I got this message. Your guidance was helpful-it solved my problem; I merely removed the cartridge and re-set it and the problem went away. THANK YOU
This is easy. Ring Epson and tell then to send either a replacement or a technician to fix it.
If you ever have a problem with a product straight out of the box, leave it alone to you spoke with the manufacturer. If you mess with it too much, you may invalidate any warranty.
The E527 error relates to the small sensor locates the dev unit home position. Basically the sensor can not see the dev unit and is most likely just out of line. Problem is it's behind the HV power supply board and requires a good amount of dismantling.
Solution: Call Epson to fix it under warranty.
