Retractable cord and reel unit loses contact to the main wiring unit within the Iron. If you opened the iron already raise the contact points. It resolved mine by doing this.

Maybe your line cord is open or try to find the fuse inside the iron.

You have to check the cable you can use multi tester in ohm position to make sure the connection no problem, and turn the adjustment temperature and watch on multitester the resistance will change if nothing happen you have to change cord with new one.

Check or replace fuse in plug. If that don't do it, then change fuse inside iron. Make sure iron is not plugged to supply.

Steam switch won't work

f the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber (see below).

If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the electrical cord . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat .

Black and decker all temp steam iron stopped working while ironing and now it won't turn on.

please see the cause and fix it:
a) tank or ports clogged. Dissasembly and inspect replace tank and seal if badly clogged. Emptying iron after each use allow heats to evaporate remaining water and helps prevent clooging. Inspect valve and linkage: clean or replace as necessary
GOD BLESS YOU

My iron's MODEL: 14977Z The iron's red light is on but won't heat to iron. was working a couple of hours ago

This is typical of a iron, it is cheaper to replace than to repair. The heating element is broken.

if the the iron is still in valid warranty time, ask the seller to change a new one or repair it for you i think! Or you can change a vertical type iron to instead !And it won`t leak, iron effect is better than the traditional iron ! 210c97a.jpg
