How to troubleshoot a airconditioner

I'm not sure if you changing out the radiator is coincidental or if you disconnected something by accident but usually if you ac compressor doesn't engage it means your freon level is low. Go to pep boys and buy a freon recharge kit. Make sure the can says that it has "sealant" in it as freon should never be low since it's a closed system. If the freon is low, there's a leak somewhere. The sealant will usually remedy this. It will be anywhere from 15-35 dollars. Follow the instructions. It sounds intimidating but is actually quite rudimentary. I think that will solve your problem.

How to do a freon recharge on roof top rv airconditioner

there are no access ports to add freon you would have to put a line tap valve on it.

I have a Fredders A3X05F2A-J model and was wondering how to recharge the unit, if possible? If so where could i pick up a recharge kit?

I don't beleive there is a DIY kit for recharging window air conditioners. At least not one, that would be reasonably affordable (less than $100.00) . Now, if you have a friend who's in the auto repair business and as part of his work, he recharges automobile AC compressors, he may can help you. As he would have the knowledge to balance the high and low sides of the compressor. As well as evacuate and capture any freon that's left in the system. As freon has be banded by the EPA. R134a is now the refrigerant used in AC compressors. By now, I guess you figured out, that recharging the system is not necessarily a DIY project. It's best left to the pros.

Hope this was of hep to you and thanks for choosing fixture.

Room is warm 86 deg. unit runs, discharge temp is near 70 deg. unit runs for a while, will not bring room temp down.outside unit shuts off, i turn unit off, 1 hour and restart, it does the same.

Hi,
The unit has a leak and is low on charge (freon) Find and fix leak, then vacuum and recharge...Leak is probably in flare fittings behind unit...

I want to recharge the airconditioner, but the computer in the dash states refregerent to low compresser shut off! how do I turn on?

Add freon if not done yet, disconnect battery for 5mim, should reset, if it don't reset after disconnecting battery, your low pressure switch's are bad, that happens about 50% of the time when freon get's low. the low switch's are located on a very thin a/c line that run's along the top of the fire wall, there will be two about 12" to 18" apart, on the same a/c line, recover freon before removing switch's, install new one's evac a/c system and recharge with 2lbs of freon, hope this was very helpful.

My airconditioner is not working it blows warm

it probably is low on freon....try listening under the hood for a clicking sound, while have someone turn the a/c on and off from in\side the car.....if no clicking sound then your compressor is not turning on....low freon.....
