Sounds like you have the "flashing light of death". Mine just did that. It is an indicator that it is dead.

Mitsubishi 65" WS-65869 Blinking Green Light 3-2 pattern,

two ideas:

Make sure you tested the pico fuses inside the unit with the caps==two or three of them.

Also from front of set behind speaker grill unplug both plugs that go up to front keyboard--set will still work with remote===if set functions now then the reset micro switch is bad/damaged.

We recently experienced a power outage, but once the power came back on, my TV would not turn back on other then a the timer green light was blinking. I pushed the reset button and also unplugged the power...

The blinking green light is the DM unit in the set booting up like a computer.

Several things can happen here--Research by model number with GOOGLE, model number and problems.

It is often called the blinking green light of death.

The most common problem is 4 filter caps in power supply (they run 7/24 and supply voltage to DM unit fail--also some fuses there.

If you look on the net you will find places that sell kit for this repair.

This is also one of a group of several Mitsubishi sets with this kind of problem--It is not the Lamp!

Some of these models develop so many problems Mitsubishi now sells a chassis replacement--includes power and several boards that develop bad caps.

Understand: Mitsubishi has a long history of caps failing in their sets, it goes back almost 30 years. I have seen older ones where over 20 filter caps were bad.

You can talk to Mitsubishi to see if chassis replacement is available for your set--this came about as a result of the threat of hundreds of people entering a class action lawsuit (several).

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

If you have questions make a "comment" here and I will assist you.

Power went out, now the tv just blinks at me. I

Does the blinking continue non-stop forever? If it does, it is most likely the CAPS in the DM module. If you can solder or know someone who can, this is a fairly simple repair. Some sets have 4 CAPS, yours (WS-65711) should have 7 in the DM module that will need replacment. There are many step by step sets of instructions on how to do this repair. Google mits blinking green light of death. You will find loads of information and help.

Ws-55511 replaced all 7 caps in the dm, still wont power on

I have seen this only 2 times----you may be able to unsolder and remove the reset micro switch---you have to remove the whole screen to get at it---the micro switch board may not be available---the switches can be tested with a ohmmeter set to high end and of course should not have a reading across them--I bet the reset switch is bad--you can remove it and put the keyboard back---most of the Mitsubishi sets use the same type of switches--Only other thing is leave the keyboard disconnected and just use the remote.

Glad you found the problem.

WD 62725 Timer geen light keeps blinking

Here is how you fix the problem. Turn off the power to your TV for 10 seconds, then turn on. Next, take a paperclip and push in the reset button for 10 seconds, then release and wait until the light stops blinking - may take up to 5 minutes - be patient. Then turn on your TV as normal and your problem will be fixed.

Mitsubishi ws55513 Blinking green light- replaced capactitors

Hi again,

It would seem that you posted twice. My compliments on accomplishing the replacement of the 4 1000 uF/16V capacitors on the DM board.

Toyour concern, the blinking is still there even after having replacedthe caps, a friendly reminder, the capacitors are polarized, there arespecific +/-. Additionally, you may have to check the pico fuses. Theywould be on the backside of the DM board and would be very close nearto the solder points of the 4 caps. They are marked FB900, FB901 andFB902. Rating would be 125V 4amp. Possible source maybe here.

Justa start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additionalinformation. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Blinking green light

depending on the severity of the caps there are two fuses on the DM that could be blown.

Green light will not stop blinking

often the capacitors will show no visible sign of swelling. 90% of the time the blinking light symptom is caused by those capacitors
