My monitor coming blur after some time. When I power off and on again it is OK. The monitor is new Samsung LED BX1931.

First, try turning off the windows power options just to check maybe if you work idle on the computer display really goes dim or blurry.

Second, try a different computer if still fails it means your monitor is ok. So what you can do is to update the display or video driver or your computer, update the chipset and BIOS.

If monitor is fine and you tried all suggestion above. I would suggest you need to back you files cause this might end up re-installing your windows operating system.

Hope this helps!

My laptop can on but sometime when i turn on the machine it goes dark and very dim can see the images but very hard..whats the problem graphic card?,or the lcd screen cable or the inverter or the screen...

What operating system are you using? On laptops there are settings for when your using battery power that dims the screen to conserve battery power. This could be the problem in your case.

Screen "Flashes" on/off

You could have a faulty CCFL lamp or inverter, To determine if you have a LCD screen, inverter or video card problem, read this and follow these instructions.
Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

When turning laptop on the screen is huge and all that comes up is red button with 'turn off' on the screen,no where to log on!!

be careful a virus maybe settling in your system...

and if not...
it would help if your laptop's operating system is windows xp sp1 or sp2 and not the crack versions of windows like sp3 amit i dont recommend such (much better than vista in my opinion)

restart your computer and press del or F2 or to an option to load in to your bios...

set your bios to default...
and right after save and exit from your bios setting

right after that b4 it loads the window xp logo
continually press F7 this will bring you option on to your loading/booting

choose the safe mode
there you will able to go log on to your system...
please set the video setting to the standard ratio; like 960 x 600 or to 1024 x 768 pixel

the apply and press ok... then restart your laptop...

if still doesn't work ill be gladly help you
just e-mail me

please vote...

Adjusting brightness for my gateway 3520 laptop

Most likey the dim screen while running on batteries is the power saving feature. This can be changed in the operating system configuration. Assuming you have Windows, you should be able to right click on the desktop, click Properties then the Screen Saver tab. I have a desktop so I won't see the same details as a laptop. Just go to the appropriate settings & change them to give you higher performance for use with the battery. You may also be able to adjust the brightness with the Function key & another key combination. Look at the blue or green colored silkscreening on some of the keys on your keyboard & maximize the brightness while running on batteries only. Next time you reboot, it should remember your previous settings. Hope this works for you.
