Question about Samsung Televison & Video
Please connect the DVD to another set to confirm if there are errors on the signal if so check the DVD. Now the TV should work on the RF inputs without an issue and if there is an indication it can be that the input connection is faulty or broken resulting in the weak signal indication. So check the connection to which the DVD was given.
Also check the AV channels for fault if so the TV must be taken out to check from the input side

OK, the DVD must be connected to the set via, the External Audio/Video connectors, and it uses the TV's External Inputs. It does NOT use the "Tuner". One selects the external input from the menu on the TV set.
It can be connected, HDMI, Component, or Composite, all external. Once hooked up and selected correctly, there should be a signal from the DVD displayed, usually there will be a Header image from the DVD displayed onscreen, if connected up all OK.
