Oh dear. You will have a faulty battery and you have now lost all programming including memory allocation, key layout, system options, key features and user programming, so it will need the dealer setup as well as your programming. Suggest you take it to a dealer to get the internal battery replaced and the machine fully re-programmed.

Make sure flag clear is highlighted (use the arrow buttons) then press yes button. It should check files then place you in REG mode. It might have had a flat memory battery so make sure you leave it on for 24hrs to charge

I have just baught a second hand casio TE8500f cash register and every time i turn it on it displays init 1.flag clear 2.init2 and every button i press it then displays operator mistake

Highlight "flag clear" and press YES button. If it still does not work, you have a flat or (usually) faulty memory battery and it will need to be RAM cleared then re-programmed.

Casio tk-1200 stuck on error E-04

Firstly, try a flag clear. This will not lose any of your data:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG mode and try it

good chance the battery is gone. These machines gave a small battery to maintain memory. Some are double a's others are solder in nicad's. Then reprogram and good chance it will work again fine!

Hi. IPLs can be tricky. Why do you need to load a new IPL? Is your scale one that is supported by the register? I would need to know everything you have tried. Also, don't forget, you must flag clear when you change any I/O settings, or they will not take effect.
