SOURCE: Vista window would not take my Creative lab webcam's driver

I had the same problem with the vf-0050 on a win vista x32 PC. I Downloaded the latest XP driver from creative and installed it. THe camera works fine with MSN messenger and skype. I'll have to wait and see if it works with x64 as well.
Hope this works for you.

The drivers provided by LG will work on either XP or Vista, but are 32-bit, and will not work with the 64-bit versions of Windows.

SOURCE: Download Windows XP Home Edition version 2002 using a Vista PC

If you did it that way, you would have a duplicate of that user's COA on your system and could never register
your system with Microsoft.

What you should do, if you took the care to adhere your COA to your system after removing same from the
packaging of your software is to simply call Microsoft and have them supply you with properly certified copies
of the software, but if you do not have your C(ertificate) O(f) A(uthenticity) with the hologram and all of that
you are stuck with the need to purchase another copy.

Again, I do NOT recommend downloading Microsoft Software, and noone who DOES recommend such a
practice should really be ignored as it is more trouble for you than it is worth.

SOURCE: vista

go to the dell website, download the driver for windows XP, before installing the driver right click on the install icon, go to properties, securities and select "Run as Administrator". Now install the driver. This should allow you to run your driver and software. I have the 30 gig and it worked for me. good luck and I hope this helps.

Need drivers webcam for windows 7

Currently there aren't any drivers for your computer with Windows 7. Dell only offers drivers for your computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista. I would try using the Creative Labs Webcam Driver they have for Vista. Since many things about Vista & 7 are similar, often the drivers for Vista will work with Windows 7. Go to dell.com, enter the model of your computer, choose Vista as your operating system, then go to Input Devices, choose the Creative Webcam and download the driver to your desktop (I suggest against using Dell's Download Manager, just download via your browser like you usually would). Then install the driver. With any luck your will be up and running with your webcam.

Widows vista compatable

make sure you have the latest version of the program and the latest updates for your OS (you could even try older versions of the software). Is the software compatible with vista? Try and run the program in safe mode... If it still don't work then maybe it just isn't compatible with your current system configuration (google the problem to see if others had the same issue). does it freeze other computers running vista? Ask yourself these types of questions to narrow down the possiblities and therefore finding the source of your problem. Do I need Gateway drivers for Vista Service Pack 1?

I think if you try to install vista you should be fine. just check the system requirements for vista to make sure your computer can handle it. If you have any special hardware devices then you might want to find any drivers for it and have them on hand just in case

Creative doesn't have Vista drivers for that video card so unless you use some hacked drivers it probably wont work.

After three months of trying and trying in many computers, following many, many procedures found all over the Internet, my Creative Nomad has accepted the firmware and has borned again.
What I did?
1. Connected the Nomad on a computer with Windows XP and Windows Media Player 9, that never has been touched by a creaive device.
It recognizes the device but can´t find any update to the drivers,
2. Updated Windows Media Player 9 to Windows Media Player 10,
3. Restart the computer
4. Connect the Nomad and the computer recognizes the device and autamtically search and found updated MPT drivers.
5. Run the firmware update program "ZenXtraP4SAudible_PCFW_LB_2_10_03 (Creative Zen Xtra PlaysForSure Firmware 2.10.03)"
6. Finally the magic button always has been disabled was enabled so start reloading firmware.
And now the Nomad is working in windows vista.

The difference between the computer where the firmware works and the others is that this has never had media player 10 or 11 and never has installed creative drivers.
Hope this can be useful to smoeone, somewhere, sometime.....

Music wont play.

You may have formated the mp3 and there by erased the firmware that allows it to play as a stand alone mp3 player.

there doesn't seem to be support for vista but the link for the firmware and update is here. this will at least let you use it as an mp3 player again
