My Kenmore AC - #106-9752570 is also blowing out black particles that resemples felt. I put a new filter in a month ago. The button just above the on/off switch on the left front of unit has 3 settings (to the left/Fresh Air---to the right/Exhaust---and to the Top/Closed) The button is set on Closed & I can't move it to the 2 other settings. Could that be the problem?

Remove exhaust hose

U need that hose to direct the warm air outside the area to be cooled. If you remove it, the hot exhaust will stay in the room being cooled and negate the cold air being directed into the room.

That is why regular room AC units are mounted on window sill. Cold air in, hot air out.

NEED HELP TO REPLACE WIRES ON CAPACITOR ON GE ROOM AIR CONDITIONER 8000 BTU

with capacitors it doesn't matter which wire goes on which terminal
if it has just 2 terminals then a wire on each
if it has 4 terminals then one wire on one set and the other wire on the other set
A set is two terminals side by side
However if you are still undecided , get an electrician to fit the wires.

Cool air coming from the vents in the front but hot air coming from the back. What do I do to stop the hot air so that the room will cool down?

Hi,
The hot air is a product of the cooling.... if you stop that then the unit will not cool!!!
You need to buy an exhaust kit to vent the hot air outside so that it will cool the room.
Otherwise it is just what is called a spot cooler or in other words you are cool if you sit in front of it, but it actually will make the overall room temp. hotter!!

How to wire recepticle for pump 240v, 2-speed fan motor 240v, purge pump 240v

If you are asking how to wire up a receptacle to run a 240 volt pump, you need to have a box on the roof first of all. You will need a 20 amp double pole breaker for this. You will need to pull 2- hot wires from the breaker box, 1- neutral, and a bare ground wire. Size of wire would be # 12 THHN stranded wire. A total of 4 wires. This would be to code. Or, buy enough Romex wire, #12 with ground wire and red, black, and white in side, tie into the breaker that way. Red and black will be your hot wires to pump, if it has no neutral you can use both the white and bare to ground, very easy to do.I hope this is what you wanted to know.

I have a GE window unit. I do not hear or see any water draining.. and I do not hear any change in the way the unit runs like I used to when it would blow really cold air. The air is cool - but not cold...

May need to wash out the out door coil. Normally spray through rear coil at about a 30 degree angle. try not to spray water directly into fan motor. If unit is freezing up it may be low on freon. if it is real hot out you may need to run 24 hour a day. High indoor humidity will affect its output also. could have weak compressor. check temp drop accross indoor coil. Shoud be 20 - 30 degrees in most cases cooler than room temp.

Panasonic cs-pw9gke i need wiring diagram

Split A/C-Cold:

You need four wires(two #10 and two #12) to the outdoor unit, leaving you house, and three wires(#10) coming from the breaker to tye indoor unit inside your house.

Split A/C-Cold and Hot:

You need five wires(two #10 and three #12) to the outdoor unit, leaving your house, and thee wires(#10) coming from the breaker to your indoor unit inside your house.

This ypical arrangment(all of them use three wires fro the breaker), yet there are other units which may require 6-7 wires connected to the the outdoor unit depends on the added features to the unit.

My appartment does not have cenral AC/heat, it has a GE cooling/heater unit in each room. You can set up low heat or high heat but it continues runing on until you manually stop it when is to hot. Is there...

the unit runs all the time because of the fan (ventilation motor)-but it is not working on cooling or heating all the time - The ventilation motor pushes the air from the room through the machine and when the termostat is reading that you set it up for cooler air or warm air it will turn on the air conditioning part or the heating part of the machine-it is very good system actually
