Make sure your ram is properly seated
the beeping sound is the post system searching for your hard drive and other connected devices
try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
good luck

Beep codes depend on BIOS version.. for your machine, go here:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-p6536f-Desktop-PC/4162263/model/4260057/document/bph07107

Near the bottom of the page you will find "Beep and LED code descriptions" along with the different bios suppliers

My hp-compaq dx2300 microtower restarts automatically when working. It is installed on win xp sp3. Please let anyone help if solution is known.

Hi names Rui, i question for you does your PC give a beeping sound when you turn it on? if does can you tell me how many beeps it gives?

if it give a designated number of beeps this might be the problem i will give you a chart so you can differentiate the warning beeps you hear.

warning beeps:

1 Short Beep DRAM refresh failure
2 Short Beep Parity circuit failure
3 Short Beep Base 64k RAM failure
4 Short Beep System time failure
5 Short Beep Process failure
6 Short Beep keyboard control gate A20 failure
7 Short Beep Virtual mode exeption failure
8 Short Beep Display memory read/write test failure
9 Short Beep ROM BIOS checksum failure
10 Short Beep CMOS shutdown read/write error
11 Short Beep Cache memory error
1 long, 3 short Beep Conventional/Extended memory failure
1 long, 8 short beep Display/Retrace test failed

hope this will determine the problem if none of this warning beep is heard try reseting the power botton in you PC cause sometimes the power botton will loosen cause of continuous use of the botton.

hope this will help you.

Hi, I have a Gateway831GM. When I try starting it, it beeps three times with the fan running at a high rate. Nothing else happens...nothing on the monitor. I've tried several times to turn it off and...

Hi, those beeps mean something is wrong, perhaps one of the cards inside the box have come out of their slot partially? If you feel able, unplug the power and make sure all of the cards and memory chips are firmly seated, then try again

My sony vaio makes a beeping sound one long and to short beeps and it wont turn on

One long beep and two short beeps usually means a video problem. If you have an add-on video card, try replacing it with a new one. If you are using an on-board video, go into the bios and turn it off. then shut down & install an add-on card.

I don't know if I can solve this here. But the beeping noise is your pc trying to tell you what is wrong with it. Somewhere there are pc beep codes. http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1223 If these can't help you just put "computer beep codes" into google. Here they are:
Beep Code: Description of Problem: No Beeps Short, No power, Bad CPU/MB, Loose Peripherals One Beep Everything is normal and Computer POSTed fine Two Beeps POST/CMOS Error One Long Beep, One Short Beep Motherboard Problem One Long Beep, Two Short Beeps Video Problem One Long Beep, Three Short Beeps Video Problem Three Long Beeps Keyboard Error Repeated Long Beeps Memory Error Continuous Hi-Lo Beeps CPU Overheating
