Cannot Enable WMA Playback

I saved my MP3 files on the memory stick and when I try to play them on my PSP it says that the WMA Playback is not enable. When I follow the instructions to enable it, it trys to connect to the wireless internet.

Is there a way to enable the WMA Playback without going online with my PSP or am I not downloading the music to my PSP properly?

Please Help!

How to play wma files on desktop?

Do you have the music files in the PSP music folder. If not, it will not read that there are any files there. Do you have the latest update? If so, under the system settings, there is an option that says, Enable WMA playback. Turn this on. If this doesn't help, you can either get the same music in MP3 format, as the PSP system has no problem with, or transcode said WMA files into MP3 format. There are many programs you can get to do this, but the simplest way is to use any multimedia player on your PC and rip said music files in MP3 format, as they will allow for said selection, then move them to the Music folder on your PSP memory stick.

I want to know how to play music or view images or videos in sony psp3004, is it we need a converter of any other software pls help, which software would be the best if needed to download

You will need to copy the files to your memory card into a special folder.

Music -- needs to be MP3 or WMA. If you want to play WMA, you need to be able to connect to the internet to enable WMA playback on the PSP. You only need to do this once.

images -- no special file type needed.

Videos -- you have to convert these to MP4. The best software I've found to do this is ImToo at the following site: http://www.imtoo.com/psp-video-converter.html

To learn how to transfer media files to the PSP from PC, check the following:

My psp can put miusic

You need a memory stick duo to play music on your PSP, when you insert the MS duo into the PSP, make sure you got the settings menu and format the MS duo. that way, when you plug the PSP into the PC, it willl already have the neccesary folders to put your music in

My psp wont let me listin to music because of WMA

Yeah its like that because you aren't saving your settings.
I would say get a music convertor and convert your wma files to mp3 from mininova.org
OR
Save your psp setttings.

Enable WMA Playback for psp

try enabling wma playback in thesettings menu. but if you dont have internet, try buying the "media manager" at a video game store for your computer once you download it it acts as a media player and a syncronizer for your psp.

You need to make sure the music files are otherwise MP3 files, or WMA files and are in the Ms0(Memory card):/PSP/MUSIC folder.

Enable wma playback

Hello irie8,

According to PSP system software update 2.60 allow the PSP to be able to play WMA files. So if you have all the latest system file updates on your PSP, you should be able to play WMA files. However here is the link I found to be very helpful.

I hope this information was helpful.

Sincerely,

Cannot Enable WMA Playback

what ever you do, DO NOT RESET SETTINGS cause then you just have to reset them and it wont do you any good. I had the same problem. The most lodgicall way to solve this is just to spend like 3 bucks at mcdonalds and get the wifi so you can play online multiplayer, go on the internet, and fix the wma feature. Or you could just free load off of a friends wifi or wirless setup. But you may have to enter a security code.

First of all, an aoss button is for wireless play. As for the wma songs, they need to be converted to mp3 format for better quality and to work.
