What does the error code F1 E1 mean and how can i fix it

Hi.

F1 - E1 means: EEPROM Checksum error. The EEPROM is a memory chip located in the ERC (control module). The problem is communication error with the EEPROM


1. Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds.
2. Re-apply power and observe for at least one minute.
3. If code re-appears, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Note: Applies to all F1-Ex codes except F1-E3.

After a power outage / low current power problem this evening, my whirlpool range, Model # SF315PEKW0 started beeping annoyingly, and displayed the following code F1 E1. Also, after, the oven would not...

The "F1-E1" fault code signifies an EEPROM checksum failure within the electronic oven control. Disconnect power to the range for longer than 30 seconds. Re-apply power and observe the display for longer than a minute. If the failure remains, disconnect power and replace the electronic oven control board.
