Question about Home

Open Question

I have installed a Triton aspirante wireless 9.5 Kw shower. It is just outside of the 2 year warranty and has been used very little. In comparison to the Triton 8.5 KW shower we have in the bathroom it only appears to give the same temperature/flow. When the temperature/flow dial is used it will not react to small adjustment and at times will not adjust at all. Very disappointed with this expensive shower. Any idea as to the cause of the problem?

SOURCE: Triton Millenium Power Shower

generally if the flow sensor notices no water through the pump it will auto matically shut the pump down. so it could be the flow sensor is bad or the pump is not working like it should. now it depends on how old the pump is. i would start with the flow sensor.

SOURCE: Triton Electric Shower Temperature too hot

You could have mineral deposits on the temperature probe inside of the unit. If you remove the heater and purchase a bottle of lime and scale remover (lime away) to put inside of it. Let the unit sit full of water and chemicals for 24 hours. Flush out the unit to remove any residue. You may see the water is brown if you have a lot of buildup. Reconnect unit and test your settings. If this doesn't work, install a anti-scalding device, available at a plumbing supply store.

SOURCE: triton t80i water only warm in winter

That sounds like a water heater problem, wheres the heater at in your home. If it is effected by the outside weather i.e. the heater is in a cold environment then it would effect the hot water output. try turning up the thermostat on the heater if it is gas then it should be knob on the outside if it is electric you will need to remove the top or the bottom cover and adjust it with a screw driver. If this does not work the let me know and we try some other things. With the weather/temp outside effecting the water temp in the shower then I have a hard time believing it is the shower its self.

I have a triton Amber 3 shower. No water flows when switched on - but the mains LED is lit and water is available

the solenoid has failed, thus not opening up to allow water flow,i have found that spares are fairly expensive for tritan. if you find out the rating ie 7.5 kw etc then buy a replacement shower from wickes their showers are tritan and are normally like for like fitting, also a lot cheaper than showers that have tritan marked on them.

Water flows continuosly for 1minute after switched off

You need to check all valves, one of them must be broken or too old.

Also the pressure is a little bit higher in there, but there is nothing to be afraid of.

Triton Ivory 2, 8.5 kw electric shower flow has been getting porgressively weaker. Mains pressure if fine. Shower head is clean.

there could be a blockage on cold water connection which may have a filter which needs cleaning or the heating tank inside the shower could be blocked with limescale try cleaning the filter you cvould also check the shower hose for blockages or kinks

My triton shower blew its fuse a couple of times and came back on when I 'flipped the switch' back up. Now it's given up altogether. What's the problem?

Assuming that the circuit and fuse protection you have is correct for the kw rating of shower unit the most likely cause would be an element failure however in order to be more definate relevent electrical checks would be required within the shower unit.
The Triton Service Dept who may be contacted by telephone on 0844 980 0750 would be able to arrange a sevice visit for you where the problem may be investigated further for you.

My new triton shower keeps dripping when switched off

The actual cause of this will depend on what type of shower unit this relates to - ie Mixer Valve, Electric Shower etc.

Generally though if the unit is new and therefore under the manufacturers warranty period the best course of action would be to contact Triton Service Dept direct - Tel 0844 980 0750 where a in warranty service visit may be arranged for you.

Hi i just installed a triton cara shower and the water wont turn off

It is probably the water solenoid valve wich is stuck or bunt out.
If it is brand new, maybe you have warranty.

Shower either runs cold or extremely hot

hi ya, if its a triton shower valve & only 2 years old it should have a 5 year guarantee, ring Triton & arrange a service call.
it sounds as though the filters could be blocked & more than likely the thermostat requires replacing as its more than likely scaled up?

You never mentioned where your based UK or abroad?

Kindly
