Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Microsoft Office 2003 came with my computer. I had to restore my hard drive because it crashed. Now it won't let me get into Word. I typed my product key that is on my certificate of authentication, and yet it still won't let me use it. It says it's an "invalid product key."

or
you could run the check disk utility
click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive

Hi,

Suggest you try and do a system restore. This will restore your pc back to a state that it was on a previous date.

If you are on XP, go to Start>Run>Type in msconfig and then his System Restore, it will start the wizard

If on Vista or Windows 7, go to start and type in system restore in the search box and then click on it when found

Go through this wizard, select a date before you installed Office 2007. Note that not every date is available to you so you need to choose the most relevant.

Once the wizard has finished, it will restart your pc and it should be back to the way it was on this date

Hope that helps, pls rate the solution

Dont like the fact that I do not have the toolbars as I did in 2003 edition. How can I get back to 2003 version?

if you've recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 from 2003 and weren't happy with the decision, you can easily revert back to your older software. Each version of the Office software package will be considered a different program by your computer's operating system, so to revert back to your previous installation you only need to uninstall Office 2007 and reinstall Office 2003. Difficulty: Easy flow my Instructions
  1. Uninstall Office 2007. To do this, open the "Control Panel" and select "Add or Remove Programs." Click "Microsoft Office 2007" and then click "Remove."
  2. Put your Microsoft Office 2003 compact disc in your computer's appropriate drive. Either a CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive will work.
  3. Click "Next" to begin the installer for Office 2003. Continue to click "Next" until you reach the screen where you are asked for your product key code. Enter the product key code found in the Office 2003 packaging and click "Next."
  4. Enter your name, business name and initials (if you so choose). Click "Next."
  5. Choose which type of installation you would like to perform. You can choose to install each program in the Office 2003 productivity pack, a "typical" installation which installs only the most widely used programs like Word and PowerPoint, or a custom installation where you individually choose which programs will be installed.
  6. Click "Next" to view a summary of all of the installation settings you've specified. If you're happy with the summary, click "Install." This will install Microsoft Office 2003 on your computer using the settings you've meticulously specified.
hope that it will be help full

Need an activation key for Offce 2003.

Your product key probably doesn't work because Microsoft only gives you a certain number of licenses when you buy Office, and you've probably used them up. (It's usually either 1 or 3.)

Call Microsoft's tech support line and tell them what happened, maybe they will reset your license so you can reactivate Office. Otherwise, you'll have to buy another license. (You can do that from Microsoft.com.)

Product Key number is not accepted after hard drive crashed.

Your WiFi connection is not responsable for this problem.

Uninstall Microsoft Office Professional 2007.

After that type in a command prompt windows the following command: del %temp%\*.* /f /s /q (this command will delete from your computer a lot of temporary files).

Restart your computer and try to install againg your Office 2007.

If you still have a problem with this message that means your KEY is not available or was a trial key.
