Question about Beam Industries 2775 Serenity Plus Central System Vacuum

1 Answer

Hi, So glad I've found this site! I've attempted to remove the filter as per this post: http://www.fixya.com/support/t2784981-remove_filter_beam_model_2775 The result is that I've pulled off the finger loop because the filter was in so tightly. Please can you tell me what the best way forward from here is? Thanks, Duncan

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

The finger loop is completely off now except a few stitches perhaps.

So did the filter itself come with it, or just the finger loop broke off and the filter is stuck in there? :(

Yikes, well we need to figure out a way to get it out of there, at this point I wouldn't try to do it be yourself, you could risk damaging the filter basket... I would contact a Beam specialist, regardless you are going to need a new filter basket... let me know if you need the name / info. of someone in your area, or if you really want to keep trying by yourself, but it is not recommended.

Dc25 filter keeps popping out in ball and jamming ball can anything be done to fix

Hi, it's Ambrai from Crucial Vacuum.

There are two reasons why the post filter may pop out. One reason is that the spring on your filter may be broken. The post filter should pop in and you should hear a click to make sure it is locked in place. If you don't hear that click, the spring may be broken. Otherwise, your post filter may be dirty. Once the filter is packed with debris, air can no longer pass through it causing the ball to pop open. There are also two types of filters for your Dyson DC25. Remember for optimal performance, it is recommended to change your filters every three to six months.

You can purchase your replacement filters directly from Crucial Vacuum with free shipping and an exclusive 10% coupon for Fixya.com readers, use code: FIXYA10

Spin brushes do not turn

Hi There,

I\'ve written an extensive repair solution on how to diagnosis Hoover SteamVac\'s when the brushes stop spinning. A lot of the times the brushes just need to be cleaned, or it could also be the turbine assembly inside.

Here\'s a link to the diagnosing:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t4286338-hooverspin_scrub_brushes_always_stop

And if you find out that you need to replace the turbine, here\'s a link that shows you step by step how to replace the turbine:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r4530769-diagnosis_fix_hoover_steamvacs_when

Hopefully these were helpful to you. Please be so kind and rate the repair helpful, or leave feedback for me if you found this helpful. This is really appreciated by the Fixya community to do if this was able to fix your problem, and ensures that Fixya experts continue to post free repair solutions rather then just answering the premium questions.

Thanks so much,

Lower filter repair to eliminate excess noise

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear your DC18 is making an unusual noise. Please note, the filter located beneath the clear bin is designed to last the lifetime of the machine, and does not need to be maintained or replaced. Attempting to clean this filter is likely to cause damage, so we'd strongly advise against this.

Although I note you've already cleaned the filter located inside the cyclone pack, you might want to take a look at the video below to check you've done so as recommended. In normal use, this should be done at least once every 3 months. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for the filter to dry completely somewhere warm before replacing it.

You may also want to run through the troubleshooting steps shown in our Support guide to make sure there are no obstructions you may have missed:

If your machine continues to make an unusual noise, I'd encourage you to get in touch with us directly, as we'd appreciate the opportunity to provide further assistance. You can reach us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC15. From what you've described, it sounds as if the relief valve is activating - if you've already washed the filter, it may be activating due to a blockage in the machine. The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=813&product=DC15-SY-STD

Although I note you've already washed the filter, you may want to take a look at the video below to make sure you've cleaned it as recommended. In normal use, this should be done at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

This should resolve the issue, but if you'd like any further assistance or advice, please call our Helpline free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

Filter mesh holder is damaged, locking holes are broken will not lock in place - need new filter mesh

Hi Joe: The model has been discontinued and difficult to find replacement parts. I located a few online suppliers offering a HEPA Filter that fits the BUC11700UC. See here:

http://www.vacuumcleaners.net/bosch-buz200hcuc-hepa-filter-for-bagless-jet-upright.html or

http://www.allergybegone.com/boshepfilfor4.html or

http://www.wikio.com/product/vacuum-parts-accessories-compatible_with_bosch-reviews-12020-page3-sort0.html

Is this the part you are looking for? The third site above does offer other replacement parts if you are looking for a different filter piece.

Thank you for using Fixya!

My Dyson pet is overheating and shutting off autimatically. cleaned filter what else?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC14 Animal. Like most Dyson cleaners, your DC14 is equipped with a safety device which shuts off the cleaner if it starts to overheat. If you've already washed the filter, it may be overheating due to a blockage. The easiest way to check for and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online guide:

http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=626&product=DC14-ANIMAL_US

Although you've already cleaned the filter, you may find it helpful to take a look at the video linked below to ensure you're doing it correctly. The filter should be washed in cold water without any detergent, at least once every 3-6 months. Always ensure it's totally dry before replacing it - this may take up to 12 hours.

http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=1461&product=DC14-ANIMAL_US

By clearing any obstructions and washing the filter, you should be able to resolve your issue without further assistance. However, if you've followed these steps and are still concerned, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you and recommend the best course of action.
