Hi Tracy,

Out of curiosity, are you entering the price as 6.50 for six dollars fifty cents, or are you entering it as 650? The casio registers I have used didn't require the decimal point.

On the department, try pressing the Dept key followed by 01 (for department 1), 02 (for dept 2), and so forth. It may be looking for a 2 digit department number during programming.

I am assuming that you are using the Programming key, and not the clerk's key?

Assuming that you got it, what did you need to do differently?

  • Sheldon Dedek Sep 28, 2010

I thought it might be that, Casio is kind of quirky in that aspect.

Please rate and accept my solution if I have been able to help, and thanks for using Fixya.

Are you sure that department key is programmed correctly, if that is the last thing you hit before the ERROR then it usually lies in that key. If you skip the department and total it out, does it work properly?

Oh, do you not have a manual or any information for this register? Are you the person who set it up to begin with?

    THanks

How to program two non cumulative taxes on a Casio PCR-T2000A?

Firstly, change the rates for each tax in the tax rate setting tables of your manual. Then you need to turn on tax rate 1 and 2 for departments that need both. This is done in the department programming tables. Tax setting can be quite involved so follow the tables carefully. If you need a programming manual, One of the users has it here:

When I program pricing Key is in PGM mode 1 Subtotal enter amount 600 for $6.00 hit the dept key then subtotal. Return to Reg price the dept number price comes up as $695 not $6.95

There appears to be an incorrect value entered during the programming process. If you send me an email to LBrown18062@hotmail.com, I will send you the manual that shows the correct programming sequence. Please put "casio PCR-T2100 manual" as the subject and I will send it to you right away.

I'm working with a PCR T2100 and trying to re-program the unit price for each department. I have the manual so I've read the key set to pgm, press 1, subtotal, * (dept #/dept shift for upper departments),...

Turn the key to PGM mode. Type the new price without decimal point e.g 500 Press the dept key (item) you want to change. Press SUBTOTAL Turn key back to REG and test it.

Hi. I've never had that before. Someone has probably set an obscure change limit in the machine features. Try this:

Turn key to program mode.

SUBTOTAL
3
SUBTOTAL
0

SUBTOTAL

Turn key back to REG and try it
