This means the room temperature is over 95F. This could be due to the sensor being in the sun or the sensor is shorted. Try unplugging the thermostat wire and see if it goes away. If it does you may need a new thermostat wire.

How to remove oven thermostat on whirlpool stove

You don\'t need to remove the top. The thermostat is the long skinny tube in the oven that comes up to the railcock behind the oven control knob, remove the front panel to get the railcock/thermostat out which has the tube attached to it.

The thermostat is electrically opened by the computer, there are two coolant temp sensors, one is to the gauge the other is cylinder head temp that the computer reads to know when to open the thermostat, when you place the thermostat in water to test, it won't open enough (fail safe only)

How do i check the thermostat in my dodge caravan

remove the thermostat from the engine. You will need a thermometer or some other device to read water temp. hang the thermostat in a pot (Placing the flange at water level) and place on the stove or some heating device. bring the water to the boil while watching the thermostat. As the water temp approaches 80-85c you will see the center of the thermo start to open. As the water approaches the boil thye thermo should be fully open. Check you readings (start to open and full open) with the specs stamped into the body of the thermostat. If they are the same the unit is ok. If it opens too hot or dosen't fully open buy a new one . If It is fully open when cold buy a new one.

Trying to hook up a RTH2310B thermostat to a wood pellet stove with only two wires.. How do I know where to connect them too?

Hey Brad432, this is what i did with the same RTH2310B thermostat and my harmon stove. You must have the heat sensor that plugs in the back of the stove to start with. Take your new wire from the stove to your thermostat, red to rh, white to one side of your sensor then other side of sensor to W on your thermostat. On your stove side set your room temp as high as it will go and let your programmable thermostat set the room temp. Works good for mine. Good Luck

if car doesn't run hot with no thermostat...you may be air-locking system when installing thermostat. I always fill the engine block up to the thermostat housing to make sure that engine is full of fluid ..then install thermostat...spring facing down..thenfill radiator making sure car is running so as not to air lock system ...run until top hose gets warm ,showing that your thermostat opened

Have a Coleman Evon Furnace, manufactured for Zone 1, in my 1998 Module Home. Have had 4 thermostats put on . Everyone has the same problem. Works fine for first week and then will not read correct temp....

Hang a small thermometer next to the thermostat to see how much it is off by. You did not mention what kind of thermostat you have been installing. Check in the instruction manual to see if it has a heat anticipator. Some thermostats have a small winding (heater) inside it that will anticipate the temperature raise and turn off the heater a few degrees before set poit. If this was not set, this would be your problem. If it is factory set, sometimes they come with a small resistor that must be installed in the wiring to help with the anticipator. If you find that the thermostat is still way off, yes you may need to relocate it. Kitchens can fool thermostats by the heat from the stove and refrigerator. You can either relocate the thermostat by changing the location of the wires and base or install a wireless unit that is easily mounted where you want without running wires.

Tappan Oven overheats!!

If you have electronic controls, you'll need either the temperature probe (about $60.00) or the clock (about $150.00). You can test the temperature probe from behind the machine. It should read about 1080 ohms at room temperature. if the probe is good, replace the clock.

If you have mechanical oven controls, you need a new thermostat. Is the too high temp consistent? (i.e. runs at 375F +/- 25F?) If so, you can usually adjust the thermostat **** to read closer to the actual temperature.
