Ive been having the same problem! I found these instructions on a forum if it helps-

To Set the Temperature

The reason the stat is coming on during the night/ always being on is setting number 5, there are 5 settings on the Salus

1 is the time you want heating on eg, 07.00 and set the temp (20)

2 is the time you want it to go off eg, 10.00 and set the temp (10 this will turn it off)

3 is the time to come on an evening eg. 17.00 and set the temp (20)

4 is the time you want it to go off eg, 23.00 and set the temp (10 this will turn it off)

5 the problem many people have is that they do not set number 5 correctly, this is a night/ frost stat and if you don't set the time and temperature same as 4 ie, 23.00 and 10*c then the heating will stay on.

How do I set the time and date on my Salus programmer?

· Press the Set and Select buttons simultaneously to enter the clock setting mode.

· By using the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow you can select between 12Hr or 24Hr clock. Once selected press "SELECT".

· The "HOUR" will now be flashing. Adjust with the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow keys to the desired time. Press "SELECT".

· With the "MINUTES" now flashing adjust with the arrow keys to the correct minutes. Press "SELECT".

· Now the "YEAR" will need adjusting. Again use the arrow keys to change and press "SELECT".

· Now adjust the "MONTH" with the arrow keys and press "SELECT"

· Next to change will be the "DAY OF THE MONTH" again with the arrow keys change and press "SELECT"

· "dLS" will now appear. This is the "DAY LIGHT SAVING" mode to turn "ON" or "OFF" use the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow keys. Now press "SELECT"

My set top box Altech PVR 6600 is telling me my HDD is full. It isn't. Also telling me I have no recorded programs I do.

For some problems like these the first thing you should do I actually not reset channels or turn on and off but actually pull the main power cord out from the wall for 10 seconds or more and then plug back in and tada it works again ........

I am looking for a battery water timer that does not need pressure to operate. Just gravity. Any ideas?

Google search: 'battery operated timer' and 'battery operated hose end'

Smarthome shows the Orbit: and has manual:
http://www.smarthome.com/31035/Orbit-57860-Battery-Operated-Sprinkler-Timer-with-Inline-Valve/p.aspx

The manual says 'turn down water pressure.' It looks to me like this timer opens and closes the valve with or without water pressure.
Sounds like it would be perfect timer for above ground cistern where gravity cause water to flow when valve is opened.

Amazon shows battery operated hose end, but doesn't show manual:
Hose end timers are not going to have a pressure gauge.

I need user instructions for Altech ALTHC014 digitol thermostat

Here you go, this is pretty much identical to the Altech unit you're describing (Salus RT500RF Manual (SALR503) 531ESALR50310A95), I have the Altech ALTHC014 too, I have checked them against each other. Hope this helps, this is probably why you can't find the Altech manual, as the Salus one is the same and they haven't bothered rebranding this manual to Altech.

My automatic timer is not working.

You posted under Intermatic raintight timer.
Add a comment with your model and brand and I have extensive files on timers.

The best diagnostic is the manual override.
1) Click manual override and see if Load (lights, fan, motor) come on.
If manual override clicks on-and-off crisp and clean, but the lights do not come on, check your electric power.
If the manual override does not click crisp and clean, then the timer may be rusty, or timer may need to be replaced. Buy replacement timer and swap out timer mechanisms without changing the box.
If the manual override works fine, and Load turns on-and-off with manual override, then the clock or trippers are next suspect.

2) Check if the dial is turning as time passes.
If the dial is not turning, then the clock motor is bad and you can buy a new clock motor.
If dial is turning, and manual override turns Load on-and-off, then the tripper pins might be worn out, and you can buy new trippers.

3) To buy replacement parts: Timer door has model number of timer. Timer clock located on back of timer mechanism has identifying numbers. You can snap out the timer mechanism using metal spring locate top inside box.
Grainger sells trippers and motors:

My ST01C works fine for a few days and then resets itself. The clock flashes 12:00am every time it resets and their is no pattern to it resetting. Sometimes it works for 2 days; sometimes 4-5. I reprogram...

My guess, it's the battery... Manual has troubleshooting steps that point to battery.

1) Timer requires CR2 battery to work ... double check markings on your battery. Programs will not function without battery. Battery can be low without BATT warning on screen.

2) ST01C has 1 year limited warranty. Things wear out.

3) When reprogramming, do you Reset timer? Or just reprogram Time-Date. Last-ditch troubleshoot says to Reset and Re-program timer.
