Power button stuck in off position - Acer X233H 23" Monitor

Please remove the unit from any power. Once you have, please replace the unit to find that the button is no longer in the stuck position. Please do not attempt to troubleshoot the button when and IF any power is being applied.

power button switches are usually very reliable and very unlikely to fail. However, sometimes the button that presses on the switch can become stuck in the on position - if it is stuck in that position the mboard cannot boot - make sure it isn't stuck. next check the AC adapter is working and is capable of charging the main battery? Most laptops will not boot when just the AC adapter is connected, and the main battery must be capable of being charged to at least a minimal level and be charged to at least that level in order for the AC adapter to work to help boot the computer. hope this helps

The front buttons on the plastic body of your device, are meant for just 'Touch Type Operations'. They may result in malfunction, if used forcefully.
As in your case, it is stuck in it's position. Now you may try to take it out by slightly beating the outer front near the button ("Slightly"). or you can use anything with sharp tip as a needle to get the button out from its position.

If everything else fails, you need to get it to the nearest repair center. As it needs to be unscrewed.

Try using a needle to pop the button back up. If this fails then most likely the spring for the button has failed and you'll have to use your new parts. Another method is to tap the button with a teaspoon handle lightly several times.

My CHI button is stuck on off, how do i fix it ?

Does the button move at all? What model LCD is it? Most of the time if the monitor does not power up it is the power supply inside the monitor not the button sticking. The power supply can be repaired if that is the problem. Please let me about the movement on the power button and I can help you get back going with your monitor.

I have a solution posted on replacing the button in another Question but as far as your question; If you still have the button you can pop it back in (push in and hold tight) and move it to the position to turn it on. Once it's on you don't have to hold it in to keep the camera on. Only switching it to the off position will turn it off. Let me know if you lost the button and I can give you a work around for that (even if you still have the button and are jamming it in there but it's not working my workaround could help).

The power-zoom-shutter top case assembly is faulty. You can replace this part.
