Question about Acer Aspire L310 (ASL310UD631A) PC Desktop
Acer displays that logo to cover up the 'ugly' POST code that runs every time your computer starts up. If it used to do this quickly before but has now slowed down then your computer may be discovering various hardware issues on startup. This can also happen if your CMOS battery (which keeps the internal clock working) is running down.
First thing to do is update your BIOS by visiting Acer's support site and installing the latest one they have for our model.
If this does nothing to improve the POST time and you feel comfortable taking apart your min-desktop. Check for bubbling capacitors.
These can be replaced.
If all else fails, check the CMOS battery. It is a small coin sized battery connected to the motherboard. It is a standard battery you can find at the drugstore.
