My HP Photosmart 537 digital cam is experiencing a similar problem. When powering up, it beeps and makes a small noise up front(a plastic gear to gear grind type noise) and a message on the back says LENS ERROR Turn Cam off and on again....Error Code M537-033

I did what they suggested by off and on agin with no new result. I have also changed the batteries.

Hey TexasStunna,
According to the manufacturer there are a few things you can try to resolve your problem, and I have provided a link below on the directions on how to do this. I hope this helps!

My camera samsung when turned on , the lens out and log in again and power then die

Suspect battery - won't hold a charge. Go to Walmart, borrow a replacement battery that is charged, and test the camera - if no issues with borrowed battery, purchase a new one. Enjoy.
DO NOT force the lens in or out, the gears are tiny and very fragile - another possibility, if the lens moves and then stops and the power dies - gears are jammed or broken. But go for the battery test first. Good luck.

The issue is in the contact point between your camera body and whatever lens you are using. When the lens is screwed on to the camera it is not contacting the body; the camera essentially doesn't think a lens is present.

You can rectify this a few different ways:
1) Remove the lens and put it back on. Make sure to twist tightly so the contact is tight.
2) Take a pencil eraser to the small contacts to clean them off
3) If that doesn't fix the issue try another lens (borrow from a friend if needed). If the problem goes away you know the contacts on the lens need adjustment through the manufacturer.
4) Lastly, if 1-3 do not work. Send your camera body to the manufacturer to get the contacts fixed.

When i push the power button on my camera the lens just moves inward and outward and then shuts off and when i plug my battery in to charge it doesnt charge

Sounds like its time to replace the battery to me, the only other way to find out for free is to borrow a battery from a willing friendly soul and trying that out first.

Casio ex-z80 lens error

Hi Mark, welcome to FixYa.

The problem your having is that sand and/or dirt gets in the lens mechanism of the camera. When the little cog inside gets sand or dirt in it, it prevents it from moving. It is what causes 95 percent of all lens errors. This is how you can fix it.
Take an air compressor (or borrow a friends) and put the nozzle up to the space in between the lens and and the camera. Blow it out real good. It may take a couple of tries, but it should free it up.

Let me know if that helped, and feel free to rate my answer.

It seems to be a connection issue between the Lens and the Camera body. Perhaps the mount is not true to the body Ask Pentax about this their Technical Support Team

Oh I'd love to be able to see this one. OH well. What batteries are you using? If they are ordinary alkaline, then you should get a set of NiMH rechargable batteries. (As strong as you can find) If the problem continues, taale the camera into Nikon and send your friend the bill.
