Question about JVC KABOOM RV-NB10 Boombox

Open Question

What can be done about the rubber sides of the kaboom box that seem to be melting as when you rub your hand black material comes off in your hand. The same thing happened to the rubber volume and bass controls but I replaced them. The replacement s are in black plastic so they know their is a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks, Gene

How can I clean the melted rubber seal from a Bialetti Top Espresso Machine?

I scraped off as much melted rubber as possible - using my thumb nail - then used a product called Goo Gone to melt the remaining rubber. I put Goo Gone on an old cloth and rubbed off the remainder of the rubber - again with my thumb nail.

Air filter change

3.1; 3.4; and 3.8 motor all have air box located in the same place. if you pop the hood and are staring at the engine, it is the black box that has a large rubber tube that comes off of it right on the right hand side...the square lays right next to the frame of the vehicle. there are either a few a couple of screws or a couple of clips. air box separates and filter comes out

My printer keeps on jamming, says I need to re-align the paper, which i've done but the paper won't feed through. Someone please help. Thank you! Anna

Try cleaning all the rollers with 90% rubbing alcohol, as well as any tight spaces on the printer... Use Q tips. Also inspect rubber rollers for wear and replace any worn ones (they're not expensive).

You may also have some paper jammed deep in there. taking the printer apart and cleaning everything with rubbing alcohol should solve that.

Certain numbers on the hand held set do not respond when pressed. The nubers are 9 and, sometimes, 3 on the touch pad of the hand held. Why is this and how can I fix it? Thank you so much for any help you...

Sounds Like The Key Pad Backings Are Dirty This Happens With Time. You Can Fix It By Taking The Phone Apart And Accessing The Rubber Pad Behind The Numbers. Clean The Black Circles On The Rubber Pad With Rubbing Alcohol And A Q-tip Also Clean The Receiving End Of The Black Rubber Side Also Known As The Circuit Board. There Are Half Inch Or So Circles On The Circuit Board, Clean Them Off Using A Q-tip And Rubbing Alcohol As Well.

Please Note: Remove The Battery Before Attempting This And Find Any Screws That Are Holding The Device Together. After That Get A Small Flat Head Screwdriver And Work It Between The Gap Along The Entire Edge Of The Phone ( Starting With The Mouth Piece Is The Easiest) Please Take Extra Care Not To Break The Phone If You Still Cant Seem To Get It Apart Please Check Again For More Screws.

Rubber Grip Has Developed "Sticky Spots"

The best and cheapest way I have found is to use 91% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol...put a little on a paper towel, cloth, or cotton swab and rub the stick stuff off. I would also suggest putting on rubber gloves to keep the black stuff off your hands. Have fun.

Smoke coming from back of washing machine and a burning rubber smell

You may have overloaded the washer and the belt drive system could not handle that excess mass.. The smoke and burning smell is a belt melting while trying to rotate the drum.. I would unload it .. gain access to the drive mechanism ( probably via an access panel in the back but may not be.. - brand and model specific).. and then check for damage to the drive belt.. You may look at the pulley system and look for burnt black from melted belt on it.. You could also have a clog in your pump that the belt drives but can't ( because of that clog) and therefore the belt rubs over the pump pulley and melts.. Could be any one of those things.. Hope that helps..
