Question about DeLonghi Pinguino PACL90 Portable Air Conditioner
My PAC L90 was blowing air, like a fan, but not cold air so I decided to open it up. I found that there was a crack in a 1/4 inch copper pipe that connects the compresor to what looks like a radiator. There was an oily substance that leaked out - and there was alot of it. I mended the break by adding a 3/8 inch copper pipe that was about an inch long and sweat them together. After doing so, the problem still remained. I assume that whatever the oily substance was, it needs to be replenished. Can someone please tell me what this oily substance is and if I can replenish it myself (if possible) or if I can take it to someone to rpelenish it? Thanks.
It leaked all the freon and oil out .
it needs to be vacuumed and oil replenished.
filled with freon.
should only cost you bout 50.give or take
as they use very little freon.
a shrader valve port has to be added to introduce the freon. takes just a few seconds.
