Hi,
For a competent expert to be able to answer your problem, you will need to givea specific make and model of your unit.
Also include as much as possible about what you have already tried to do toresolve the problem along with exactly what is not working or what the unit isnot doing that it is supposed to do.
This will help us experts to be able to give you the correct advise the firsttime, without having to guess so much as to what is actually happening.

Thank you!

Ok...so here is a strange problem with my Diamond York 90. The AC stays on even if the system is set to off on the Thermostat. I then took the thermostat out and turned on the power switch and guess what...

Hello, you are correct nothing should work with the thermostat disconnected. If the indoor fan continues to run then the relay on the control board is bad and the board must be replaced. If the outside unit continues to run then tne contactor coil is faulty and must be replaced.

How to wire condenser and air handler to the t-stat

Assuming this is a standard unit the thermostat connections you will use: Y, R, G, W and possibly C.

Run two conductor thermostat wire to the condenser. The condenser will have two wires to connect. Connect the two conductors to the condenser wires and run them in to the air handler.

At the air handler, connect the two condenser wires to: Y (yellow) and C

Run 4 or 5 conductor thermostat wire from the air handler to the thermostat. At the thermostat, connect the yellow wire to Y, the white wire to W, the green wire to g, and the red wire to r.

At the air handler, connect the thermostat wires: White to w1, yellow to Y, green to G, and red to R

*Y will now be connected to the thermostat and the condenser
*If you have 5 conductor wire to the thermostat, connect the last wire (which is probably blue) to C
At the air handler, connect the last wire (blue) to C. This will enable you to have 24 volts at the thermostat in case the thermostat actually requires 24 volts to operate it.

R=hot
G=fan
Y=cool
W=heat

All day long My A.C. steadily leaks, when I turn it off at least 2 cups of H20 spills out.

This is completely normal. What is happening is condensation of water on the condenser coils of your air conditioner. This is why when you install it should be slightly leaning downwards towards the outside to drain this. The only thing you need to make sure of is keeping a steady air flow or you risk icing the water up on the coils. Make sure that you keep the filters clean and you'll be fine.

My york central air condenser keeps running. It cools but, it just keeps running.

Some possible problems..turn thermostat where AC compressor should not run. measure lo voltage to the contactor in the compressor housing. If there is voltage there then thermostat is defective. Remove one lead of lo voltage at contactor. Compresor should stop. If not contacts are stuck. Replace or burnish contacts..

York central ac keeps blowing 3amp fuse on the circuit board when the compressor kicks in. thermostat changed with no help. what's next

sounds like you have short in the low voltge side of the electrical circuit. I would check the thermostat wires outside at the condenser. look for any bare or exposed wires from where the wire comes from the house to the condenser. the thermostat wire will be a brown wire that is run on the outside which sends a signal to the contactor to make the condenser work. common cause his rodents or happens when weed whacking around condenser. Hope this get you started.
