This is indicative of bad reed valves in the pump head. The only way to fix it is to replace them.

Craftsman 919.165610 compressor - used - pressure wouldn't go over 125 - replaced pistons, cylinders, gaskets - wouldn't go over 45 psi - replaced o-rings, checked for leaks - no luck - don't see how

why in the heck would you fix something thats got 125 psi ??? you don't need anything more than that... pressure is not what you need CFM's are... but it sounds like you damaged something or forgot to install or mis-installed something

My compressor will not go over 20 psi i have a craftsman 921 4 gal 125 psi compressor and it will not build past 20 psi i do not know how to get to the pistons and stuff what do i do?

The problem with compressors not building pressure is usually a bad pressure switch or bad regulator. Does the motor shut off at 20psi or does it continue running and not build pressure? If the motor continues to run with no increase in pressure, the you should go over the machine looking for air leaks from your regulator back all the way to the motor. Any air leak while the compressor is running can cause the pressure to "peak" way before the intended shutoff that it is regulated to.

Dewalt air compressor keeps running until pressure output is 200 PSI, the same pressure in the tank. Why doesn't it quit running at 120 PSI the designated pressure on the compressor?

The regulator switch/unloader is bad or out of adjustment. Perhaps though the gauge is faulty. 200 psi in a 120psi compressor is dangerous, don't run it until it is fixed!

Where is the ac lowside port located on a 2005 gmc savanna van

The low side port of the 2005 GMC savanna Van is located on the low pressure side of the compressor.

This is found by locating the compressor driven by a belt that has a clutch that engages and disengages as the a/c cycles.

The low pressure piping is always in the larger diameter piping, and the high pressure side is always contained in the smaller diameter piping.

Therefore, follow the thick pipes from the compressor up to the accumulator, which looks like a large can of soup. On the accumulator receiver/drier is a port that connects to the tube that is connected to the can of r134a freon refrigerant.

Simply quick connect the tube to the low side port, which is located on the 'thick' tubing or on the accumulator and then fill until the low side pressure is 25 psi to 45 psi while the compressor is running.

When the car is off and the compressor is not running, the pressure should be 75 psi to 100 psi on a hot day.

Hopefully the system doesn't have a leak slow or fast in it.

Ac does not cool low side at 50 psi after putting in 1 lb of rerigerant changed out filter, orrfice tube and pressure the same

The low side should be 25 to 45 psi when the compressor is running, and 75 psi to 100 psi on a hot day when the compressor is not running.

The air compressor will build air to 45 psi but no futher and regulator is also at 45 psi and no higher and has been running for over4 hours this is a single stage 4 horse 18 gal craftsman modle 919-16418...

when the compressor is running do you hear air blowing off? If so, check the manual blow off valve to see if it stuk open. The regulator controls the pressure check it for leaks

I Have a 5.5.hp oilfree air compressor that builds air up to 45 lbs an stops building pressure and keeps run.will not shut off

Is you air regulator working? I suspect your reed valves in the head need replacing as they may not be holding pressure over the 45psi that you mentioned, and are allowing the air pressure to defeat them which allows the psi over 45 psi to bleed back into the air compressor cylinder.

AIR COMPRESSOR THAT OVER HEATS

It's the pressure switch. It's either faulty or just out of adjustment. Open it, or some have a handle to turn, and start turning it CW. This should bring the pressure setting up. Test run and do more if needed until desired 'off' PSI is obtained. (if there is a spring with a nut on the top in the pressure switch, tighten the nut CW to increase pressure)

No air conditionong have 45 psi freon compressor turns but clutch wont engage when it did it turned on and off numerouse times

You don't have enough freon in it. 45 psi when the compressor is not turning is low, Add one can and see what happens. Normal low side pressure with the compressor turning is 35 psi.
